    Last year playing micro sngs and using all the advice I could glean from pocket fives I managed to turn a hundred bucks in to eleven hundred over the course of the year. This year I decided to play mtt tournaments, using my built up bankroll.

    With the economy like it is, I have been so busy with my business I have not had time to play much, however I have been playing just enough to learn and ask questions on here.

    Today I signed into a two dollar rebuy turbo tournament on tilt. I really dont like turbos but I do like rebuys so I joined anyway.

    About two hours in to it I was getting down to push time, caught a piece of a flop from the bb so I pushed. Was called by two people both who had more chips than I. On the turn I caught two pair, and busted AA and QQ both had slow played into the hand.

    THat tripled me up and I never looked back. Took down 4th place for 190 dollars.

    Thank you all for the advice that has and is helping me improve my game everytime I play.

    Congrats and keep it up! Its always nice when there are good PD posts with the High stakes regs. Alot of useful info on here when people arent flaming.

    Thank you all,

    And having shot professional archery at the top many years ago I remember what it was like to see someone who won a small local tournament getting excited, I smiled shook their hand and urged them on. It is all a matter of perspective. And I would never have simply laughed at them for their excitement.

    When you see something work that you have been working at it really does not matter how much money you won...just that you are getting better. And I wanted to thank those that had helped...P5s.

    And I do feel some real gratification that I am starting to get better at this game. But I understand that I have a very rudimentary understanding. I will be picking your brains more...lol.

    I still get excited when I win a 180 or 90 man.. For most people here we are not playing for rent money. We are playing because its a hobby. If you dont excited when you win something why even play.
