My credit card gets nicked & used on Pokerstars!

    This may be a first for a active online poker player. My wallet got nicked a week ago. That night I had only cash & my 'spending credit card' in the wallet This card has never been used to deposit. So I cancel my card the next morning only to find out a few days later that it was used that night to deposit $600 bucks on stars. How ironic & very very frustrating.

    I guess stolen cards get used all the time on sites but what are they doing to stop it? Obviously these guys can use the money play a tourney or cash games, maybe win big bucks then ship to another player or withdraw to Neteller or similar. By the time they get caught surely they may even be in a position to send the cash back to the card they stole or have closed the account on the sites. Surely they can not do anything about it by then?

    Lucky for me I had not ever used that card on a gambling site or it would have been near impossible to claim back.
