I tried to deposit using usual card...didn't go though so I go and get a prepaid and now it won't even allow me to try and deposit, it also says that cash games are restricted for my account, as well as any tournaments I've tried to register for with points....WTF??? I've been known to be a dick here and there but this can't be the result.
[ ] MAer
[X] live in the US
[ ] have been banned ever before
[ ] registered for any tournaments today
Anyone have any ideas? -
maybe someone you have a past transfer history with fucked up and since your account may be associated blah blah blah...
-
I just got the email saying I'm associated with someone so they're closing my account.
What a crock of shit!! I give this site well over a grand a month and this is how I'm treated? I don't even get a fucking time frame of when I'll be able to log back on?
How long does this mess usually take? -
Really? That's it then? So i no longer play on fulltilt because of this?
-
if they are closing your account it doesnt look like you will be able to log back in ever...
did they tell you which one of your friends fucked up? -
Since when did people become responsible for the actions of other people? Pretty dumb.
-
They said they can't tell me who it is I'm "associated" with. However, I haven't had a transfer of any kind for over 3 months, I don't let people play on my computer, and I NEVER EVER cheated in anyway. So what the hell could cause this?
-
I would rather get an email of them telling me that online poker is illegal in the US ( I know that it's not, obv) and that's why they're closing it rather than this halfass excuse. Maybe they should stop signing new pros and put more money into customer service.
-
thats not it... the sites have to cover their own ass and protect their players by not allowing a scammer/cheater or any accounts that may be associated with them to remain active.. the sites dont know if the "friend" is actually a seperate person or an additional account etc...
-
I'm still banned on stars after playing on a friend's IP address. Another of our friends had played on it, and I think what happened was he ended up having multiple accounts or he didn't clear a payment or something, so my account ended up banned because of this. I am just too lazy to send in a copy of my ID to prove that I am not him, so I have been playing on Full Tilt ever since. This could be what happened to you though.

or vice versa if you logged onto your account from a friends ip.. -
Sounds pretty spot on, only difference being that I don't hang out with other online players....any idea on how far back in time this could relate to?

Same thing happened to me, my account at FT got closed cos association and that was it no word on who it was. Tried to email and obv FT sucks nuts at cust. service. Had 100$ in my account at the time and they never gave it to me, never got a cent back, This was huge for me at the time, my total online balance was less than $250, its F*CKED how sites can just close accounts and keep the $$.
-
Sign, now I see why people say it's rigged....BECAUSE IT IS, THE FCKIN SITES ALWAYS WIN!!!

What checks do the main sites do then? I am only interested as I have sat at a friends house (regularly on a thursday night), and 4 of us entered the same stars 45man SNG using 1 IP address.
We have done this numerous times with no aggravation and it got me wondering.
And no, we dont collude - for $8 dollars whats the point. If anything, we bet between us on who lasts longer.
Cheers,
Jason -
Yeah I don't get it. In college we would play in the same tournies and have last longer bets etc all the time and there were never any consequences, why are there for other people? Doesn't add up. Also, if they are banning people for playing on the same IP address or whatever, why don't they only allow ONE player per IP. In other words, when the 2nd player tries to log on it would not allow it. This way the problem of colluders on the same IP would be solved, and legit players won't get in any trouble.

I, on the other hand, have never done anything close to this and am banned....it just doesn't seem to make sense. If I were reading this I would most definately think that there's something missing to the story and that's what makes me the most mad.
Since Full Tilt can't fix problems/look into cheats, in a timely manner like other sites, I'm getting penalized by them shutting the account in the meantime. If they had any sort of logical business sense, they would realize that it is their duty to be Judge/Jury/Executioner for the site and go through the proper process and not just jump to executioner.
In their haste to stop "cheating" the site has shown it's inability to handle their basic duties by penalizing honest players. The site is supposed to provide its' players with a safe place to play...but how are you to feel safe if the overseers of the system don't do their job? -
As I read through your posts the one thing I notice is that you do not claim to have not associated with someone who did something wrong. Could that be the problem?
-
if that ip is associated with fraud/scamming/cheating etc... then it would be blocked. they realize many people have more than one computer in their household therefore they cant enforce 1 ip address per...

You still haven't said that you have not associated with someone who did something wrong.
-
If you guys are trying to tilt me, it's working!!!
No, I haven't associated with anyone who has cheated. The only other account that has ever played on my IP/I have transferred to is my cousin's account who plays micro. He hasn't played online I think since before November....so again I say, WTF.
