  1. so anyway....I'm playing in the Vermont World Cup Qualifier right now, down to 5 people, we are waiting on one more match to go to the next round...WELL, this one guy in the match had to leave at 4, he had a 7K-5K chiplead, so he sits out, then about 30 seconds later, the other guy disconnects. Its been 30 minutes now with one guy disconnected and the other sitting out and we are all waiting on that match, blinds are at 200-400 so this could take a while.....
  2. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

im playing in the team alberta one btw :)
  3. you gotta click on the vermont one and see this...its absurd...goiong on almost 35 minutes now, everyone else was done their matches too before this "situation" occured so that makes it even more obnoxious

  4. i am watching :$
  5. This is one LOOOOOONG disconnect, like his modem box blew up or something

EDIT - I guess you could look at it with the glass half full and say its a great dual, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth

  6. Well now I'm starting to think although it sucks...maybe one of them will still be screwed up gonig to the next round after one blinds out in 3 hours and Ill get paired with them for an easy win

  7. A fellow Vermonter? Where is this going down?

Edit: Nevermind I am an idiot.
  8. World Cup of Poker Vermont qualifier......GOD MAKE IT END, going on 45 minutes now with this shit

Only in Vermont can this happen too, a beaver chews down a tree that falls on the old telegraph lines

  9. I'd rather watch the English Patient than deal with another hour of this shit which is gonna have to happen for the blinds to reach high enough to put the shorter stack all in.....55 minutes of "sitting out" and "disconnected", please make it end

EDIT - worst part is the "disconnected" guy probably wont come back cause its been so long disconnected he'll think he's out and have no reason to keep trying to recconect, I'd give up after an hour of "disconnected" too

  10. Typical vermont internet connection at its best.
  11. only good thing about this is after another hour when blinds reach the amount to put someone all in in the big blind, is that I'll have a 50/50 chance of facing them and getting a free pass into the final

  12. wont the blinds continue to be high in the next round? push / fold mode?
  13. no...blinds move back down each round to a normal starting point in relation to stack sizes
    Thread Starter
  14. its been an hour and 10 minutes now of this....stacks are 4.5K and 7.5K with blinds of 400/800 still

  16. what are they gonna do though? one guy is sitting out and the other is disconnected, who do they side with and eliminate?

  21. I would have played if I knew about it.
  22. Well since this thread is going...I'm in the final now, wish me luck. I made the finals last year only to lose most of my chips with KK to AA, hopefully this year I win it and get on the team

  23. gl bgj47!! im watching

During current Hold'em 1on1 session you were dealt 27 hands and saw flop:
    - 7 out of 13 times while in big blind (53%)
    - 10 out of 14 times while in small blind (71%)
    - 0 out of 0 times in other positions (0%)
    - a total of 17 out of 27 (62%)
    Pots won at showdown - 3 of 6 (50%)
Pots won without showdown - 12

all it took to take 2 chumps down
  24. I've never been so pissed....heads up final, 15 hands in, his 27K chips to my 21K I have K9, board is QJ77, he bet preflop and he bet the flop...I called both times so now when the 7 hit on the turn I bet out, representing a 7, he raised, I reraised, he reraised quite a bit more so he obviously had a 7 or JJ or QQ. I go to fold my hand after his 8K rereraise, I put my finger on the touchpad while the arrow is still over RAISE and lo and behold, it clicks raise leaving me with 900 chips. and of course he raises all in and I now have to call my last 900 chips with just a gutshot with one card to come against hopefully only a set and not a boat so maybe i can hit a miracle 10. it was a set of 7s, no miracle...gg me

2nd straight year I win at least 5 matches to get to the final and lose, last year with KK to AA with just about even stacks, this year on a bluff gone bad with a touchpad. Maybe I'll get picked as an alternate, even though I dont think they get to play either, they only fill in when someone cant go
