so, i come home from work today and half the stuff in my house is gone out the back door which was still open including my laptop that was primarily for poker.. im spinning a little right now but if anyone can maybe give me a list of stuff to double check, change, worry about, i changed all my passwords but im sure that not being the computer expert there might be other precautions i might need to take so that no more of my life is stolen.
thanks. -
Log on to poker sites and change your passwords. You dont want the theif donking off your roll.
If you had been doing any online banking, change your passwords for those sites as well. -
ouch bad beat
sorry to hear about that -
tough luck, hope they catch that prick
did you ever enter credit card info on your computer? maybe it's possible that stuff was retained? i'm not sure but be wary. -
i hope they catch him too, police took fingerprints off the tv that he wasnt able to carry and some glass from the window he broke.
i tied up as many loose ends as i could think of, changed every password, had some checks stolen too so i already cleared up some banking concerns.. i just have that feeling like im forgetting about something. maybe someone will recognize my situation and throw something out there that will save me more hardship that u wouldnt think of otherwise. thanks, for the imput and the concern. -
sorry to say but they wont catch him i promise. this happened to me a couple years ago in AU and the police acted like they were gonna "pursue all leads to the utmost" but that def didnt happen. we actually found out that it was our down the street crack head neighbors that were the culprits and the cops never investigated even after repeated calls to the detective that was "on our case"

So you know who did it and the cops do nothing? My question to you is what did you do about it?

call the credit companies and put a credit block on your ss# just in case. If you have to apply for credit you will have to supply a pasword. Just in case they found anything random with all your info on it..
