The first step towards recovery is to admit that I have a problem. And I certainly do! I was cruising in last nights 150k on UB. I won't get into the gory details but I had just over 100k in chips, was in second place with about 35 people to go, and the blinds were only 1200-2400 before I started donking. This has been happening more and more over the last month or so. I tried to tell myself that it's the holiday's, enjoy yourself. Just have one donk. But then 1 donk turns into 2, then 3. I always thought of myself as a social donker but now I realize that I can't control my donking anymore! Over the course of about 3-4 hands I managed to lose just about everything. I was like a donken sailor!! The comments by some railbirds were painful and amusing at the same time. One observer keenly noted, "It's an Opus chip give away!" (opusx69 is my sn on UB). Another witty observer stated, "yeah, it's like a clearance rack." I was speechless. It was all true. Is there a 12-step program for donkaholics like myself? Clearly I can't recover on my own. Is there a DA anywhere? Maybe all of us donks (you know who you are) need to start a recovery group or something. Please help me!
