    Just finished reading "Read 'Em and Reap" by Joe Navarro, the FBI agent with a new book out on poker tells. Chapter 7 is titled "Gravity-Defying Tells." (Basically, anything high - sitting up straight, high chip toss, raised eyebrows - indicates strength). The book has lots of photo illustrations, one of which is in this chapter, on p.105. Navarro and the guy next to him at the table both have their cards flipped over. Navarro is standing up while the other guy is sitting down. Navarro's got AK and the other guy has QQ. The flop is visible in the photo, and it's K-3-Q. The caption asks us if we've noticed the discrepancy between Navarro's posture (standing up = excitement/strength) and the board (he's way behind). We're congratulated if we've noticed the discrepancy, and then are told that there's really no discrepancy at all, because:

    "What the picture doesn't show is the turn card, a king, which the dealer has just placed face-up beyond the border of the photo but easily spotted by the excited player. He is standing up, excited by the realization that he now holds trip kings against his opponent's three queens."

    ^^ i think you are mistaken, 3 kings should beat 3 queens whats the problem here?

    You should be able to detect that 3 Kings beats 3 Queens.

    Not only do 3 kings beat 3 queens, but the guy with 3 kings' kicker is an A, and the guy with 3 queens doesn't even have a kicker

    I read this this week and noticed it as well. I guess he could still be excited because he now has a chance of winning?

    This is a pet peeve of mine. Obviously, the QQ has a <span><span>set</span></span> and AK has <span><span>trips</span><span>. </span></span>They're both 3 of a kind, but you know, semantics. Still, Navarro wins. YAY!!!!!
