need advice..poker in the media

    Hey Guys,

    After a local game tommorrow night, a friend and I are going to shoot a news spot for the local news station in our area, Birmingham, AL. Another friend of ours who plays is a producer at the station and is going to be heading up the interview. The main topic is going to be about a new poker merchandise store that my friend will be opening up but no doubt the interview will spill over into the overly broad topic of poker as a whole. I already have ideas for what I will be saying about the many positives of poker, but can any of you guys think about some ideas that need to be brought out into the publics eyes about poker and maybe even online poker. Also, Adam, Cal, Riley, Lenny, any of you guys want me to give a shout out to p5's and help spread the gospel about this great site. If no answer, I will not.

    I think you and AllinAlabama man should show the world that poker players are superior athletes and should be reguarded as such...jk. Nah, just say how much is has exploded thanks to TV coverage and explain it as a competition and do not use the "g" word...gambling. In one of the last states without a lotto, they can't make the distinction between poker and gambling. Or better yet, call gambling a "sweepstakes"...just like our "Sweepstakes" machines (which are really slot machines in disguise). Good luck tonight.
