Hey Coookies, I'm assuming you're referring to US residents with this post, and the answer would be no. Neteller is not open to the US and Canada, and if I had to guess, i'd say they won't ever be. You can, however, use www.epassporte.com, which isn't quite as fast but has been around for years and is a trustworthy, reliable company. For moving money from site to site, it's just as fast as Neteller ever was, though it takes a bit longer to get money in initially.
-
How could you possibly use the words trustworthy and reliable in the same post as the word epassporte? How much are you getting paid for the plug?
-
Ted, I have never received a dime from epassporte for anything, and nor has anyone who works for the site or the site itself. I'm speaking out of my own experience. I don't know where you get off responding like that--if you've got an opinion about epassporte, feel free to post it. This isn't about anything else but trying to find people good, reliable ways to move their money.
-
ePassporte has terrible customer support, extremely high fees, and I can think of at least five better methods for transferring to and from your bank account/ATM machine.
-
Ive never had problems with ePassporte customer support. I dont waste my time emailing them, I simply call them up and talk to live support. Ive been able to get any questions answered or problems solved by doing this.
-
Trustworthy? -- You might want to check out the felony criminal record of the CEO. He has been disbarred from the stock market. He has been sued multiple times for fraud. Hell, one company was even able to sue another company for failing to tell them he might be involved in a deal they were thinking about.
Reliable? Let's see, where to start ....
You might try actually reading posts here about epassporte.
Basically they will tell you anything over the phone, just to get you to hang up. Of course, when there promises don't materialize and you call back you will probably be speaking with someone else, who can then tell you different lies.
Every try to fax epassporte anything? That is one of their favorite tricks. They will claim the fax machine is not located in their office. The fax machine is broken. They never got the fax. Hahahaha. It is a friggin' simple fax machine! But a great stalling time wasting tactic.
epassporte will seize your funds and lock your account without warning, if certain secret transaction activity levels are reached. GOOD LUCK, they really don't feel a compelling need to get their mistakes fixed once they have seized your money. Security cannot be reached by phone (like the fax machines, security department apparently does not have phones). They can only be emailed. They may or may not respond to your email. They will take their sweet time doing it. When the email comes, it may or may not actually answer your questions.
epassporte are crooks, run by crooks (the CEO has the felony record to prove it), their customer service is a bunch of lying clowns. So if that is what you mean by 'trustworthy and reliable' then yeah, they are it.
I would avoid epassporte at all costs, and be aware of the risks you take when you do use them.
I would avoid keeping any balance at all on them, only use them to transfer, one transaction at a time. I guess you could call this my endorsement of a trustworthy and reliable company. LOL. -
epassporte phone support simply lies and tells you what ever you want to hear. You must be extremely gulliable or have never had a real problem.
-
2nd, just call them. The hold time used to be very long, but I've found that lately there is almost no hold time what so ever, and they have been able to help me out with all my questions and concerns. Very happy with epassporte. My only gripe is that the fees associated with using a CC are pretty ridiculous, but I guess you got to pay to play.
-
lol at lies and tells me what I want to hear. Seems like you have bitter feelings towards ePassporte while some of us dont. Sucks to be you I guess.
-
LOL @ sucks to be you dealing with a company owned by Christopher Mallick and thinking you aren't running the risk of getting screwed.

Spotty customer support? Check.
Suspicious of many large/unusual financial transactions taking place? Check.
CEO with a less than reputable background? Check.
Gee, if you didn't just describe 97% of service-based companies I might give a rat's ass. As it is, not so much. -
"epassporte will seize your funds and lock your account without warning, if certain secret transaction activity levels are reached."
Is this true? What are these levels and where have they ever stated that they will do this, or when have they done this? -
I have heard it's only safe to move small amounts at a time, like <1k/week through e-passporte. If you wind up with more than $5k in transactions at a single time being processed through your e-passporte acct, they lock it up and make you jump through a bunch of hoops and wait 3 weeks or something to get it out.
Why doesn't anyone seem to like paper checks? stars checks take under 2 weeks and they are safe. I don't trust any service with my $$$ when theres no really legal avenue i can take to get my money back if they decide to screw me. -
all this bad talk about epassporte worries me... i have been dealing with them for the past month on a transaction that didnt go through to my checking acct... still waiting for the money to return to my epass acct.
they said it takes 30 days for the money to return to my acct and that it should be there on sept 14. after reading this thread my faith in them has dropped.
what other options are better than epass? -
a check.. I never had any problems with any site regarding a check
-
Spotty customer support? Yes, I think only an idiot would argue that their customer support does not blow.
Suspicious of many large/unusual financial transactions taking place? Well, that might be okay for a 'normal' company, but epassporte is in the many large/unusual financial transaction business. I mean that is their job. They transport money to the gambling and porn businesses.
CEO with a less than reputable background? Don't know what CEOs you deal with, but when it comes to a financial transactions, I would prefer someone that hasn't run a number of companies into bankruptcy, or been fired for stealing company money. Of course, his business record looks a lot like Bush's, and look at what a great job he has done running the country.
So yeah, it is okay for a service company, except when the "service" is moving my money around. My cell phone, or pizza delivery, yeah, not so much. -
"they said it takes 30 days for the money to return to my acct and that it should be there on sept 14."
"THEY" said that? Are you sure? hahahahahaha.
I will bet any amount that your money is not there on the 14th.
