To preface, I don't have a very large bankroll (<$1000), but I am trying to set up accounts at different sites to do a little bonus whoring and such, since I have pretty good stats at cash games. I signed up for a Neteller account, and I see that they charge a fee (8.9% for instacash and 4% for credit cards). That means I'm paying about $45 on a $500 deposit which is a lot for my small bankroll.
1) If I deposit, say, $500 on neteller, is that fee charged only once? Or is it charged every time I move money from UB to neteller and then over to Full Tilt?
2)Is there anyway to avoid paying this fee? Can I withdrawal my money from UB to neteller even though I deposited on UB with a credit card?
3) Can I deposit money on Full Tilt with my credit card, and then withdrawal it to neteller, or must I get a check?
4) If the answer to #3 is no, are there any sites that allow you to withdrawal to neteller if you deposited with a different method, and is there any fee charged for that?
Sorry I sound like a cheap ass but I just wanna know if there's any way around this, and if I'm going to be continually charged these fees for moving money around. -
Good questions. I can probably help a little...but hope others can fill in the blanks or correct me if i'm wrong.
1. that fee is charged every time you make a cc deposit onto NT, but no fees are ever charged when moving money between NT and poker sites.
2. yes you can avoid it by establishing a NT account and then withdrawing funds from a poker site into that NT account. (This was the case 2 yrs ago when I created my NT acct).
3. not sure, but i believe this is possible, although i do not know if you can do this immediately...you may need to hold the money in your account for a certain period of time prior to withdrawing
4. not sure -
The neteller fee is charged only on your deposit from your bank. Some sites like bodog offset that by giving you 10% bonus on every deposit.
You are not caharged a fee when you deposit back into your bank or when you do transfers in and out of various sites.
If you use the neteller ATM card they caharge you a fee for that. when you put money on your card and when you withdraw from atm machine. To me its worth it because you can have your funds in a matter of minutes rather than waiting days for it to get back to your bank.
Hope this helps,

i've only used instacash a few times if i couldn't wait a couple days for the transfer from my bank account to neteller. but if you must use it, UB and bodog will pay the instacash fee for you. you can then withdraw it back into neteller - ub takes a day or so. you get your money a couple days faster with no fees.
like they said above, there are no fees to transfer from poker room to neteller and vice versa.
i don't know if you can deposit with credit card and withdraw thru neteller. -
You can transfer from your bank into neteller without fees. All you have to do is use the "EFT" function rather than instacash. If you can wait 3-4 days then do that. No sites charge you to move the cash from neteller onto the site.
I've found you can bypass the 8.9% by depositing using instacash on bodog. They will pay the fee for you. At least thats what they used to do.
You usually have to deposit through somewhere to have that as a withdrawl option. You can check it out at diff sites though. -
Question 3
Usually whatever way you deposited onto the site (Deposit through firepay , withdrawl through firepay, deposit through neteller , withdrawl through netller, etc) is the way you get your money. Im not 100% sure but as in your case the your primary option they set for you is to get a check if you deposited through a card. If you email the site and tell them you want to go through neteller they may do it ( I did it that way with stars) There accounts department will forward your money to them...Hope that helps
