Today, three more Congressmen cosponsored Rep. Barney Frank's IGREA. Last year, two of those three voted for HR 4411, which became UIGEA. So, the efforts of all of us to get people on our side are working!
Also today, two more Congressmen cosponsored Rep. Berkley's Study Bill.
Please check out the new Poker Legislation Forum to learn more about this and about what YOU can do to encourage more politicians to change their minds. -
I think it is great to have all the information in one easy to read forum but I fear that the information will no longer reach the masses. Most people are less likely to go to the new topic than they would be to click a new thread.
-
That's a very valid concern. There is a trade-off. I had a good thread with a lot of info on this forum (Poker Discussion), but there was no way to keep it on the front page for people to be able to read. So, that wasn't so good either.
This way, anyone who wants to do something knows where to go. I guess the compromise is that we'll all have to remind folks to stop by once in a while to keep up to speed on the fight. Hopefully it will be interesting enough that folks will enjoy reading it. That was the 2+2 Legislation Forum experience. I look forward to this new forum being even bigger and more successful than that one. -
Thx for all your work TheEngineer. I've been lurking reading your posts on 2+2 for a while and have always felt grateful for the effort you're putting into this.
Nothing is more important to the future of internet poker than these legislative efforts. From an EV perspective, the whole multiaccounting thing is a drop in the bucket compared to this. I can only dream of playing at bellagiopoker.com, and anything that we can do to further that goal, we def should. -
The new PPA newsletter is out. I posted it on the Poker Legislation forum, at PPA December Newsletter.
