  2. What you did wrong - you played against a donk who overpays for nut-flush draws. His flop call wasn't so bad if he reasons an ace is also an out. No way he should call your near pot sized bet on the turn with one card to come. I would say maybe bet a little more on the flop (> pot), but I am guessing this donk would have called that too.
  3. he had the flush at the turn. He called with the nut flush.
Only thing u did wrong is with 3 diamonds out there, and the board pairing, u should assume he called your flop and turn bet with EITHER the flush or a 3 (yeah, people do call with bottom pair) and CHECK the river. if he pushes into you on the river, you need to shut it down.
WHenever i have an overpair to the board and i get called on the flop AND the turn, and i STILL have an overpair, i am looking for any draws they might be on, and if it hits, i shut down

  4. Checking the river was my thought after looking at again...flat calling my bets should've put up a red flag for me.

  5. Yer too harsh here, guy easily could have been conteplating if he was beat.
  6. Maybe, but that would mean I had a boat(which would mean I had pocket 7's/8's/9's or a 3 and other card to pair the board). Now, MOST people don't raise up 4X BB preflop with 8-3 or 9-3 so the 3 should be ruled out. Some people would raise like that with pocket 7's/8's/9's but that's unlikely early in a game...and if I did I wouldn't keep pushing like I did...I probably would slow play my set. He HAD to know he had the nuts. No big deal I guess but it's interesting to try and figure out what I did right/wrong and what the opponent could've been thinking.

  7. Any chance he was multi-tabling and that was the reason for his delay?
  8. yeah, I've been accused before, I was smooth calling with flopped quads and villian river pushed and I was on another table, so it was a few seconds before I called. It wasn't 30 seconds though, but still long enough for someone to say something.
  9. I would have checked the river too but lets be real, the guy is down to 305 and has a 1000 in the pot already. The end results are inevitably the same.
  10. Maybe...I'm over it.
