No point in betting anymore. In my opinion check/call > check/fold.

Seems like he has doubled up already, can't you find out how with instant HH? In a vacuum I guess I c/f... by the river I give him a range of a random queen, a random ace, 33 and AQ. You're ahead of 33 and chop with the last queen, but there are still 2 aces left on the deck which make it more likely he's holding one. If you check he pretty much only bets when he has the ace. I see no value in betting or c/c'ing to be honest... check and hope he checks back so you can win at least chop, fold if he bets.

At this level I have played quite a bit. I see people still just calling boards like this even with flush draw out there. It is a very tough hand but like everyone else is saying I would just check/call.
Let us know what happened. -
here's the hand he doubled up on, it was actually the hand right before...

lol okay that's very relevant. Did you remember to check that while playing the hand or did you do it just now?
Still I'm not sure he's capable of betting worse on the river, that hand doesn't show a tendency to run big bluffs or thin value bets. Just shows he's a station. The way he played the previous hand also makes me think he would have played a random ace exactly the way he did... IDK, I think it's closer now but I still check with the intention of folding unless the bet is stupidly small. Turn play is fine BTW in answer to thread title. -
yeah i don't know that previous hand is kinda weird, but i didn't even check it til after the fact. obviously i wasn't expecting that river at all, but basically i just decided that i'd call any reasonable bet, but was folding to a shove...i checked and he insta shoved...
