im not sure how else to play this
i definately didnt think he limped with aces maybe ak or ive seen aj a few times
    no reads on this villain

im wondering if i should have checked the flop
i thought it was better to see if i was good there assuming most aces would reraise to prevent the flush draw
any feed back would be great guys
  2. this is usually going to be a bit of a cooler... if you're really worried about him limping AA, then you can call and check and call the river, rather than shoving over him. your assertion that he can have AK or AJ is bad, though --- once the queen pairs he's usually just going to call the turn, rather than raise. so he's got a Q or a boat, usually.
  3. You could of gotten away on the flop. I don't know about the turn their were only 4 hands that had you beat so it would of been a tough laydown.
  4. He bet the flop, so no, he couldn't have gotten away.
  5. While it would've been pretty rare, I would've been more afraid of him dominating you with AQ. He could justify limping in UTG, as well as the big action on the turn, but this just looks like a classic case of the wrong hand at the wrong time. You'd have to be pretty sure that he had aces or a boat on the turn to be able to fold that, but the chances of that are too slim to really affect your play, especially in the moment of catching those trips.

I would've liked to have seen a raise preflop, especially at a 6-handed cash table. You might've been able to push at least one of the limpers out, and in this case, if jeff decided to limp/raise on you, then you would've had much more incentive to fold on the flop when that ace came.
