(Sorry for the new thread but I tried to post this earlier on the other thread and it got wiped. It is now 3:10 AM here in Nevada and I must attempt to re-create the prose)
Watching Bax spike aces-up on 5th street to defeat Kirill and take down the bracelet was likely the most exciting thing I will see in this year's WSOP.
To join a 7-stud tournament on a lark--a game he had never played or really thought much about--and survive a WSOP field on pure wits and poker insitnct is an amazing feat.
The fact that people still have to ask "is/why JohnnyBax so good" really just proves how good he is. Complete, unfilitered natural poker ability.
WTFG DUDE.

I don't care what anyone says, for that guy to call with Ace high against you was ridiculous. Congrats on taking it to them.
Bax Owns -
the hand history I read said the guy called shane with k high and was actually behind until he spiked his flush on the river. according to pokerwire shane had a/10 and the other guy had k/j? bax owns!!!!!!!

when i first started showing bax tournament theory and nl holdem and everything just over a year ago, i told him that he had an innate ability to put his chips in the middle that would overcome alot of inexperience and a lack of techincal knowledge. Translation..he had obvios instincts for the game.

Congrats Bax and Shane, very well done!

This win really blows the case I was building against Bax out of the water. I know he is cheating at online poker, and when I find out how he's doing it I will let everyone know...after I win a few tournaments of course... :)

Word has it him and his boyfriend John Stamos have left the country.
