He used to be too nitty especially from the blinds. Havn't played w/ him that much lately.
From what I have seen he hasn't adjusted correctly and now spews a ton oop. I don't have a huge sample size so take that with a grain of salt.
He is also an expert at the mental aspect of the game. My friend sat w/ him Day 1 of PCA last year; a big stack got moved to his left and within 2 min had the guy explaining his game to Todd. -
he was never too tight, imo, he has always been a loose, tricky player... and he was always spewy from the blind, always defending his bb with garb and leading/folding or check raising with air etc... hand looks very standard for Todd
-
Really?
My notes on him was that he never ever defended his BB especially live.
Agree he has always been a tricky trappy player who can pull some very sick moves. -
Im pretty sure he plays blindfolded half the time.

I haven't seen Todd play in a while, but when he was a Paradise regular, he definately had a very open range. I remember my3sons well. She made some good scores but her chip stack went up and down like a yo yo during a tourny. Any idea what name she plays under now?? She played too much to just up and quit.
I think Todd still has a training site doesn't he?? -
Todd was never tag. He was very clever at giving the impression he was a maniac, and also talented at never having a hand when he didn't need one and often had it when he had to...
In other words he was clever and hard to put on a hand.

imo his style works better against an avg to below-avg player than a good one. I've seen him spew in the most redic situations.
Watching him play 5-10nl 6-max against a weak table was hilarious, they had no idea how to handle his 2.2 opening raises and weird 3-bet min-raises. -
is loose weak/spewy an effective style in todays MTT fields? I think Vietcong's more refined style of loose over aggro/super spewy may be a more effective means to an end. Maybe NSXT2 should take a page out of his book?

IMO, realpokertraining is a great tool to learn REBUY tournaments to those just getting started with them... todd's style is unorthodox to say the least, and its good to understand how different successful (subjective term) players play.. I enjoy his commentary and his thoughts on patience..
For these reasons, i believe RPT is worthwhile for at least a couple months.
