  1. gotta be 40-50%
  2. And what do you base that estimate on.

Please provide statistic data to prove your claim.
  3. No, the correct answer is too many

  4. MUCH higher than that. Those freeroll tournies they run all have thousands of people in them.

There's a web site that I could SWEAR I had bookmarked (but I don't) that tracks the # of real money players across the Top 30 or so sites. I'm sure someone will cover my sorry ass and post a link to it. I don't remember seeing stars ever reporting more than 13k or so real money players at any one time.

  5. when stars playmoney was down for one whole day once, the peak time no. of players was roughly 30K back in the day when the peak with play money was around 80 to 85K. So the percentage of players that are play money only is roughly 60 to 65%.
  6. http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...ker+statistics

    Fourth link.

    Teh google has erryting.
  7. That's the one. Dang.

This is currently reporting that the pokerstars peak was around 14k people playing cash games. There's probably another 10k or so playing real money MTTs, and another 6-8k playing real money SNGs. These #s are just guesses, but I'm probably not that far off.

Assuming there's no overlap, that means that maybe 30k out of the 100k+ at the peak PokerStars load is playing for real money in one form or another. So over 70% are playing for free.
