  2. lowstakes needs to become 20r/cubed/quads etc. - midstakes needs to be 50r/cubed/quads/ etc. and high stakes, all but 10Ks :P:)

This comp is going to be nuts :)

theres not choice imo... It's like gags said, if you put the 100r's/cubeds in there. It would become basically the same tier as the high stakes one...

    So yeah, i'm okay w/it

Cant, Jan 24th is start of doubles guarantee week. :)

  16. I'm in for midstakes ... I thought it was starting this Sunday, but starting this Monday is perfect. As long as my teammates don't give me shit for skipping MTTs on Super Bowl Sunday. :) I will be up front and say I will be playing MTTs 3-4 days per week because of SNGs and school obligations. If I don't get picked because of that, that's fine.

What do second chance tourneys count as? For example, does the $109 second chance count for midstakes?

  17. in for lowstakes...I play everything in the tier except the 20rs even though I still play those occasionally

I won't be playing more than 3-4 days a week though because of school obligations.

I'll also definitely be missing Super Bowl Sunday obv

--edit---will send from Shane Gamble on stars

  18. Sup, think I wanna play but these tiers confuse me.... are the buy-ins/tiers correct as per OP?

  19. What does $500+50 mean? Where does the 50 go to? Also there seems to be a typo in the OP, with a discrepancy in the low stakes tier buy-in.

  20. um also why do the lowstakes guys have to play 20% rake (20 on top of 100) versus 50 on top of 500 or 100 on top of 1k?

I am not sure if that is rake or if it goes to a small individual comp or what that is for. I am not paying $50 in rake for a comp tho.
  22. As posted on 2+2 I'm interested in the low stakes tier. I think it would get more runners if the buy-in were reduced to something closer to a midstakes buy-in. I know it needs to be high enough to get people motivated but something in the $125-$150 range would probably be better.
  23. The $250+20, $500+50, $1000+100, is for individual scoring. This allows players who smash their tier to still make money, even if their other teammates finished terrible. So if you finish first in your tier and first in the team portion. You win the team entry + the individual entry.

Yea I read that ... maybe my reading comprehension sucks ... but I still didn't get it. The $250 is just a typo, right? That should be $100+20? For midstakes, $500 goes towards the team comp, and $50 goes towards the individual comp? Or does $250 go to team, $250 go to individual, and $50 is rake?

I think we reduced the low stakes buy-in to $120, although there is a typo in the OP. Sorry for the confusion, it should be clarified when NJW wakes up.
  25. njw11 and I made a few changes. The LOW tier is $100+20. Mid tier is $500+50. High Tier is 1000+100.

We are not collecting any rake. You guys have been asking about the "+20" "+50" "+100" <<< Those are for the INDIVIDUAL prizepool.

For example: If you end in 1st place in the Low tier, but your TEAM Loses. You win the prizepool accumulated from the "+20." The $100 for the Low tier will go towards the team winner. So lets say you come in 3rd place in the Low Tier and your team wins, you will get the prizepool accumulated from the $100, while the +20 will go towards the winner of that tier. So if you are in first place in the Low tier AND your team wins, you get BOTH prizepools.

Again the LOW tier buy in is $100+20. We made a few changes so that is why you may see some typos that njw11 will soon fix.

ALSO, Pocketfives has agreed to host the scoring for this competition. Any other questions just ask.

  26. Thank you very much for the clarification.
