    Admin note - This thread has been stickied to help the people running this contest with some exposure to grow the entry pool. This is not, however, an official P5s contest, and P5s is not responsible for mediating any conflicts that may arise. Good luck to everyone entering!

    FTOPS Starts August 5th

    $6,000 per 3 person team- top 8 per person (24 total)
    $2,000 Singles- top 8 scores count

    I will be holding, unless people are more comfortable with someone else holding.

    We will be using CJM's scoring system, and I hope we are able to have him run this.

    He has a State contest, and a Mini FTOPS Contest for states. we dont all have the luxury of being in strong poker states.

    Depending on how many register I have a team and will do singles.

    Im saying this in hopes that others that are waiting until last minute to "see how many teams and who all is going to do it"...will say the same thing, that way we can get this going and get an idea of whats going on!

    That is at least 4 teams, and I assume many for the singles too. Appreciate the posts, it will help build the prizepool.

    chad speaks the truth here...cjm just wants his cut..he copyrighted the scoring system, so after using it, he is entitled to his cut

    Anything you send to him would be by choice. I am personally going to ship a small amount prior to contest, because i appreciate the service it gives to me. If asking for 10%, that is hugely laughable. Scott Clements

    this, cjms scoring system is worthless, literally stopped me from contests like this bc of the ridiculous tip expectations... just do PLB totals from ftops

    Just everyone in contest pay $20 upfront. I dont mind paying $40 for the service since I would be in both the singles and team contest, I cant imagine that being a problem for most. if we get 16 for singles, and 8 teams, that is 39 players. He gets $800, and should be more than happy. Just my opinion. I dont like paying after I win either, that Is why I am thinking of this solution.

    He has never asked me for 10%. I have won many of his contests. Like I said before, I am paying upfront a certain fee, because he did the same amount of work for me whether I win or I lose. I urge many of you to do the same. To those of you not wanting to pay anything, i think that is just silly. Try finding people to do good work on anything for you these days. I know I have had my problems finding good work in all areas, and CJM does this well. I wish he could just run it with fees upfront, so everyone knows what is coming. PM Atimos if you really want to hear about tipping pressure.

    Hey guys.. Sorry to interrupt your thread here.. I PM'd Scott about doing the scoring for this contest for you guys. I did it for the last mini FTOPS contest.. We had 24 three man teams and I think 12 individual.. Maybe more.. Here is a link to the OP to that contest. He asked me if im familiar with the scoring system. Im not sure if this is the same one. But if it is. I have the spreadsheet templates pretty much saved and can update on the regular pretty much daily.. They added five bucks a guy to the prize pool which was fine by me.. I never pm'd or expected anything extra from the winners..

    So I dont want to step on any toes here or underbid CJM as I honestly dont know who he is.. But if you need someone to do this for you.. I have plenty of time to do it and give me something to do while I play the 180's..

    ^^^. not to mention the scoring system itself is terrible, all you have to do is mincash 10 times and you insta win. as such you won't be getting a lot of people due to the contest so heavily favouring the nit.

    Team Contest cancelled. I will wait to see if we get more interest for singles, to decide whether that runs either.
