Summary:
$100 buy in per player.
Competition starts 12/05 at 0:00 (midnight between saturday and sunday) and runs until 23:59 on 12/19...
*please note* this competitions starts 3 days before miniFTOPS starts, runs for 2 full weeks and includes 3 sundays.
This is a team competition. Teams will be snake-drafted via AIM on thursday 12/2 at 9pm EST. Please note if you would like to be a captain when you sign up, we usually need a bunch of captains. If we happen to have too many captains, I will go on a first come first serve basis. The captain list will be updated in this post.
Teams of 5.
Registration will close at 3pm on thursday 12/2. However, I reserve the right to close the registration up to 24hours before 3pm on thursday to make sure we have a even number of runners/captains needed for teams of 5.
Buy Ins:
Any tournament that you get PLB points for on pokerstars, Full Tilt, and UB/AP that fit the following buy in rules counts for this competition. Scoring will be done using p5s PLB scoring.
Freezouts: $55 and below
Any non-freezout: $11 and below
what this means is...any tourney that has any sort of rebuy...whether it be a rebuy, cube, quad, or 2x chance...if the initial buyin is $11 or less, it will count
This means that Event #5 (20$ 1ra) DOES NOT count.
Event #9 (10$ rush rebuy omg awesome) counts.
Scores:
Top 50 scores per team, max of 14 from one single person
Draft Rules:
The draft takes place on Thursday December 2nd at 9pm EST time. If you cannot make the draft at this time, don't sign up to be a captain
If you sign up to be a captain, please PM me your AIM.
Snake style draft, draft order will be randomly chosen using one of those random list generating websites
If you sign up to be a captain, and then don't show up for the draft, your team will be auto-drafted based on PLB score
Payment & Holding:
Since no one objected to me holding, I will accept transfers on Stars, FTP and UB for the buyins of this competition (foutight on all sites).
Payouts:
1st place: 85% of prizepool, divided equally among team members
2nd place: 15% of prizepool, divided equally among team members
please note: if you happen to win...due to stars transfer limits, as well as people not always sending an even amount on both sites, you may be paid out on either site, tbd at the time of payment.

Edited By: TheIllness Nov 18th, 2010 at 11:41 PMBasically just means the picks go in reverse of the previous round , therefore, if there are 10 teams the team that had the 1st pick in round 1 will have the 10th pick in round 2, the 1st pick in round 3 and the 10th pick in round 4,ect.in
oh yeah, can be captain i guess. i have no idea what a snake draft is though -
In. I'll be a captain as well.
-
Potentially moving into a new apartment dec 1st so if everything is setup by Thursday i should be in.. Probably won't know till the last day though
-
im in will be a captain if needed as well....just lmk
also how many people are gonna be on each team if u r just letting people sign up what if we have an odd number of people and we have 6 captains with 5 of the teams having 5 people in them and the other team only having 4 team members
???? just curious ;) -
in. i dont play on full tilt but im assuming it's still ok to join? i put in plenty of volume between stars/ub
Edited By: l3iRdMaN Nov 19th, 2010 at 12:45 AM
edit: will send once someone confirms it's not a problem..... -
Fyi I prolly won't send money for a few days. I just gotta let my backers know whats up, but I'm for sure gonna be in.
-

there is no min-volume required, everyone is welcomed to join! even if u cant play ALL the 55s , if u plan on playing a few of them and a full lineup of 24$ and under you should def be in this comp. you can always say what kind of volume u are expecting to put in to set the expections right for the captains... or to deceive them i guess ;P
just get in ! -
read my post tho?????
-
i plan on playing 1 or 2 55's per session, 20mtt's/session 5 days a week with an abi of around $20

In, also dont play on ftp but will compensate with increased volume on stars and UB

Edit: Sent. I will be playing 5-6 days a week and playing 15 or so $33s and under per session and one or two 55s. May actually play everyday of the comp. -
No. for some in the contest, even 55$ is a strech
-
yea big point that fou tight touched on just cuz you dont put in volume at the high buy ins doesn't mean u aren't/shouldn't be interested in teh comp. the snake style draft takes care of that part so that every team will have a mix of high stakes and lower avg. buy in guys, that's why team comps are so perfect for this kind of thing, it allows more people to join comfortably
-
Yah thats correct. Thats why I reserve the right to close registration up to 24h before the 3pm deadline. Ill try to cut it off when we have a multiple of 5 for entrants, if not, i will drop the latests entrants first. So be sure to reg early to make sure u arent at risk to get dropped last minute.

-
Yeah boi. I plan on playing a 20 dollar abi. A couple 55s and 33s and mainly 24's and under. I can play about 80 mtts a week maybe a bit more just for this competition.
-
im kinda in, but i dont see why people draft people who arent putting volume in. I plan on playing every mini ftops and some reg. freezeouts except the draw games (unless someone wants to coach me on it and rake in some money) but if i get stuck with someone who is only playing half my volume or even the case where someone puts more volume than me, isnt a team member or captain feel slighted? maybe i just dont know enough about these and would like more clarification. Unless your saying that its up to my captain to do the work of checking out all the names on the list and if i get shafted i get shafted. whatever, maybe i need cliffs
-
this comp includes all regular mtts on stars, ftp and UB , and the minis, just for clarification.
As for volume, if u want in on the comp but cant put lots of just say so when u sign up and u dont have to feel bad. Last round draft picks will be the low volume players, obv. Sometimes regs who put in lots of volume have things that come up and they cant, that happens.
The important thing about this comp isnt winning it, its motivating yourself to put in more volume then u usually do (which more then pays for the buyin of this comp) and also making new poker friends (as corny as this sounds lol).
