9:30am, SnG lobby is empty, except for those already running. Scheduled maintenance or another pending crash? Scroll just updated. Technical problems.

I am in a sitngo one table running but mine is stuck. Wonder how they handle something like this.
-
my $12/180 turbo just took a shit too... I was right in the middle of a sweet JJ vs. 88 showdown too. Then all of a sudden "TABLE CLOSED"
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr -
Yep my step 3 sng stuck with 3 players left. Will be interesting how they handle this. All 3 of us step 4 tickets?
-
I'm not sure how they handle sats. but in regular tournaments that they have to cancel, they'll take 50% of the prize pool and distribute it evenly to all players that were still in at the time, and the other 50% gets distributed based on chip counts.

I'm just pissed that they're down again, i sit down to start a session and see this bs again. Hard to put in volume when there's technical problems all the time.
-
I was in 2nd place in a 180 man with 19 left to go. I hope a chip/chop is done versus a refund.
-
cligityclank is that the final table?
-
All the time? What is this, twice in a couple days? Back in the early part of '06 Ultimate Bet was down every other day for something like a month. It was ridiculous! This I can handle.
-
Weren't you the one I was about to bust w/ my JJ vs. 88? or was it the guy next to you?
-
...And I'm waiting patiently sat 1/10 in the fiver rebuy.
Zzzzzz. -

-

-
Looks like the 10 30 PLO 10r is gonna make it thru break, went to add on and break clock is counting down, and yep, we are thru the break and playing 75 150
-

-
Ok. So I'm in the $5 rebuy on stars. Down to 10 players, currently CL.
First pays nearly $2K.
Now, Stars froze some hours ago. I emailed them: -
"Dear Support, > >This tourney is still frozen, and has been for several hours.> >Please can somebody let me know the plans to finish it.> >Thank you in advance,"
Etc.
They replied: -
"Thank you for contacting us!
We are aware of a problem that has affected a number of Sit & Go tournaments, as well as a few Multi-Table Tournaments. Registration for new Sit & Go's has been temporarily taken offline while we are investigating the issue. We hope to have the situation resolved as soon as possible. We have no estimate as to how long it will take.
If you were in a Sit & Go or MTT that was affected by this problem and were unable to rejoin your event, then please send a new email to support with the subject line:
Tournament #xxxxxxx - Sit & Go Refund
or
Tournament #xxxxxxx - MTT Refund
Where 'xxxxxxx' is the Tournament number for your event. We will then be able to look into refunding your buy-in for that event. As a lot of players were affected by this problem, we ask for your patience while we process all refund requests."
I spent hours in this tourney, and have waited several hours more (been running nearly 9 hours now), and I felt I could win first prize, if not a top three.
I DO NOT JUST WANT MY BUY-IN BACK THAT IS SUCH A RIP. I HAVE NEARLY 20% OF THE CHIPS IN PLAY AND NEARLY $6K OF THE PRIZEPOOL IS LEFT FOR THE TOP TEN PLACES.
ICM SAYS I'M ENTITLED TO ABOUT $1100.
WTF DO I DO. -
Ok it says now the tourney has been cancelled, and will be rolled forward after a server reboot.
WTF does rolled forward mean?? -

Roll Forward (no players in the money)

If a tournament is cancelled and we do a "roll forward" before the players are in the money, we refund each remaining player his entry fee, and then divide up the prize pool based on the following formula:
50% of the award pool is distributed evenly among all remaining players
50% of the award pool is distributed proportionally according to the chip count
Here's an example:
You were in a ($30+$3) buy-in tournament (with rebuys). There were initially 200 players, and with rebuys, the total prize pool was $9000. Suppose at the time of cancellation there were 100 players remaining, and your chip count was 37,500. The total chips in play were 300,000.
Prize pool to be divided equally: $ 9,000.00/2 = $4,500.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $ 9,000.00/2 = $4,500.00
Your share in money equally divided: $4,500.00/100 = $45.00
Your share based on chip count: $4,500.00 x (37,500/300,000) = $562.50
Your entry fee refunded: $3.00
Total money refunded to your account: $610.50
Note that if you bust out before the tournament is cancelled, you receive no refund.
When we do a "roll forward", all refunds are in cash (not T$ or W$)

Roll forward (players are in the money)

When a tournament is cancelled, and players have already reached the money, we refund each remaining player his tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool based on the following formula:
Each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of cancellation
The remainder of the award pool distributed is distributed proportionally according to the chip count
Here's an example:
When the tournament was cancelled, there were 15 players remaining, and your chip count was 37,500. The total chips in play were 300,000. The remaining prize pool was $11,000.00 and the minimum prize was $250.00.
Prize pool to be divided equally: $250.00 x 15 = $3,750.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $11,000.00 - $3,750.00 = $7,250.00
Your "minimum prize" share: $250.00
Your share based on your chip count: $7,250.00 x (37,500/300,000) = $906.25
Your entry fee refunded: $3.00
Total money refunded to your account: $1,159.25
Note that if you bust out before the tournament is cancelled, you receive no refund of your entry fee. Of course, if you placed in the money before the tournament was cancelled, you keep that money. -
FTR I just worked out I'll be getting approx second place prize money.
Felt I coulda taken it down, but varience is a bitch, so I guess I can't complain.
Cheers RS btw. -
Congrats. Getting 2nd place dough isn't bad for not having to play the final table at all.
