    ...but you have to like the quote. This is from an article on the Congressional move to ban internet gambling.

    John Kindt, a business professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign who has studied the issue, calls the Internet "the crack cocaine" of gambling.

    "There are no needle marks. There's no alcohol on the breath. You just click the mouse and lose your house," he said.

    Oh comon. The US Government is always looking out for your personal well being and saving you from yourself.

    I mean that's why cigarettes are illegal now...

    I wish the major internet sites were smart like big tobacco and pooled their money together and bought a bunch of congressmen and senators.

    why do they 'cherry pick' which kind of on-line gambling to allow?? Lotteries, Horses are OK but poker is illegal. So unfair.

    This is just another case of Uncle Sam wanting a piece of the pie. There will be no ban on online gambling period, It will be regulated before anything. There are Wars going on in various places around the world not just Iraq. The reason because The American Gov. Wants to control World assets. Its funny when you hear the congressmen saying stuff like click a mouse loose your house! sounds like a winning slogan for relection! If the gov. really cared about the American people how about fixing social security so all us poker ADDICTS can have a proper retirement.

    Isnt it amazing that 2500 kids have died in a bull shit war, while the people at home can smoke and drink themselves to death because they cant find a decent job or a hurricane took everything they had but our government is most concerned with us playing poker in our own homes. There is more pressing shit wrong with this country than people playing poker at home. The few gambling addicts they think they are helping are still going to gamble its not like we are outlawing casinos.

    Um we had at least one. Jack Abramoff. Now he involved in a major scandal involving paying off another congressmans wife with money from one of the big online gamling corps.

    the biggest problem with america right now is amerrica doesnt even own itself china owns 51% of the united states debt this has got to be solved the netional debt is what is screwing americans on taces where do all our taxes go for the war for national security for nasa, maybe a lot does but wtf is nasa doin these days. sorry for the rant but basically my point is
