  1. Ok you're in a 3/6 NL cash game on stars and you have only been at the table for 10min when you're dealt A 4 offsuit in the BB. 1 caller in middle position and the SB calls as well, you check.

The flop comes down 4 3 A rainbow. SB checks, you check and the MP player bets $10! SB folds, you raise to $25 and then th MP player re-raises you to $100. Now you sat down with $400 and the MP players has $800...WHAT DO YOU DO?? WHAT DO YO PUT HIM ON??

    Please help!!

    Thanks

  2. I put him on trip 4's. And I fold. The key? Fold and SHOW...show him that you can lay down big hands like that...next time you have the nuts he will pay you off...

  3. I agree...except I think he has 33.
  4. He might have the 4's. He might have the Aces. More likely to be 3's if it's anything.

My guess is he's the table bully, and he's testing you.

I would NOT recommend the Fold and Show.
  5. I will admit, Im a very liberal card flasher...thank god thats all I flash..haha!!

  6. Depends on your bankroll and the tone you want to set at the table. He either has a set of 3s or AJ or A-10. Probably not AK or AQ. He would have likely have raised preflop with those.
Based on his roll of 800, I would think it's most likely he is being overly aggressive with an Ace. I would say the probability is 60/40 on the A-J versus the set. If your stack is deep and you can reload, you could do worse than going allin. Especially if the money at the table is deep!
Basically fold or all in here.
  7. OK Well most all of you are much smarter than I am (no secret there), but I put him on AJ or A10 offsuit and got smacked in the head when I pushed and he had 33 in the hole for a set of 3's!

Oh well live and learn I hope!!

  8. I push allin and get sucked out on when he nails a J on the river to give opponent a better two pair.

Although, it IS hard to imagine him rereraising with only 1 pair, considering you were in BB and could have anything, including 52. He just might have a set of 3's
  9. I am much better at playing other peoples hands than my own. I am sure that points to some glaring hole in my game...but when I am putting someone on a particular hand and I am not involved I seem to always get it right.
  10. It's SO tough to put people on sets. I've been on the right and wrong side of similar situations. You hit exactly what you wanted to on that flop, hard to get away from it.
