  1. Karecon...FT of $100 R today on stars, 6th,

about to make FT of $33 R on party

about to make FT of $100+9, on stars

    all in one days work...

    EDIT: 6th yesterday 100R, didn't make party's FT, 1st in $100+9 on stars, 1st in $33R on stars yesterday.

  2. nice day

  3. JPC: i like karecon...BUT
he is actually an unprofitable player on stars if u look at the detailed DB. To my knowledge he just started at other sites, and finished 18th in that tourney you mentioned he was FTing on party.
I remember when GBMANTIS won like 5 tourneys in 1 week last year and he wasnt ranked until 3 weeks LATER....
he needs to put up more stats incl wins.
    GL kare

  4. correct about what it takes generally to crack the rankings. gbmantis was someone we were considering for a long time, but he often seemed to have extended dry spells. He got ranked when he started showing more consistency. We've been "burned" a bunch by ranking players too quickly because of a short run of good wins, so we're pretty conservative about who we add to the list these days.

  5. what about players to watch list ?
  6. I will explain this for the 2839074302974329874902734th time. Players to Watch isn't "page 2" of the rankings. It's an entirely seperate list of top internet players who don't fit our rankings criteria. Some of them are top cash players, some are tourney specialists who only play the weekends or just don't play that often but put up huge results when they do. Some are HU specialists.

  7. oh LOL well excuuuuuuuuuuuuse me for bein such a newbie, dang
    :)
  8. OBV ACECATCHER26 RANKS ON MICROS LMAO
  9. I think stars loves putting me on Kare's tables, seems like every time Im deep in a tourney he's right there, just waiting for me to bluff off all of my chips. Really good player imo.

btw, what are the criterias for ranking? Im sure this has been posted many many times but I'm a noob here. How long is "consistency"? Is there a set amount of time you have to run good in order to be considered a consistant winner? Also, do bad runs take you out of the ranks? I'm a fairly new tourney player, but as far as I understand, tournament variance can consist of extremely long runs of bad (or good for that matter) cards. Correct?

Is the amount of tourneys played/ ROI factored into the judgement? In other words, is quantity better than quality?

    Just curious.

    Thanks

  13. though karecon has won 75k on stars, as isuck123 said he is not a profitable player. He has under 100$ in profit if that tells u anything, so all I can say is one good run doesnt mean a player should be ranked.
  14. quantity is better than quality, generally, because it's the only way we currently track tourneys. Tune into the podcast tomorrow morning, I will be talking in depth about the ranking system, including the direction we hope to be heading with it.

  15. Oh looky...he's at another $100 R final table...

  16. Why dont you let Adam, Cal, and Riley do what they do? If he is deserving of a ranking, he will get it.
