  2. Didn't Chad Brown check behind in a spot like that and justified it by saying "I knew you were going to call anyway"??

    Lame.
  3. that is bad......haha

    hightlight of my boring day
  4. How do these people get the money to play these events? Seriously, that's the worst thing I've ever seen.

  7. lol, but this is not the worst fold, the worst fold was in the one billion hand on stars, where a guy folded his 2$ or something because he didtn wanted to go all in to win 100k this was the worst fold ever
  8. Obv put him on the 5th ten, great read imo
  9. He was playing the board and put his opponent on quads full of aces obv. Great read and laydown IMO
  10. This kinda reminds me of a live 1/2 NL hand I saw a few weeks back. On a board reading AAKAA there was a bet followed by a shove on the river and the dude went into the tank for 3 or 4 minutes before finally calling.

LMAO...Gawd that must of been a painful thought process.
  12. It was hilarious. We were all just dying at the table trying to contain our laughter in the hopes that the guy would make the most ridiculous fold ever. One guy had to get up from the table because he was starting to cry he was laughing so hard.
  13. ahahahaha lol, nice

    Lame.

I've checked behind in a similar spot in a live game that raked pretty heavy because I respected the player I was up against and it would just make the pot raked more.

I understand that completely, and that makes sense.

I'm pretty sure what Chad Brown did was in a HU tourney, possibly even the NBC HU World Championship, from a few years back. Someone help me out here.
  16. maybe he thought he had that fifth Ten, or maybe he had one of those wild cards giving him 5 of a kind

  17. I bet his staker is a happy man.
     1
  18. So this is how all u highstakes players make all that money!?!
  19. Yeah, I believe Chad Brown did it the NBC Heads Up Championship, it may have been against Kristy Gazes but can't recall that part for sure.
  20. I remember hearing a story about a 4-5 handed pot in a WPT event getting checked to the river and the final board was broadway without 3 of any suit, someone bet and if memory serves me correct 2 players (1 being Beth Shak, can't remember the other one) folded.

Not only that someone replied to the thread defending her saying "Maybe she didn't want to give away any info by having to show her hand."
  21. he obv. didn't realize that it was going to be split, otherwise he would snap call..this is called a noob at the game and we need more of these people in tourneys imo.

Yep, it was the NBC HU, but actually Chad Brown had the nuts and wasn't playing the board. He had an A and the board went quad 6s and a duece. He checked behind on the river after having flatted the opponent's bet on turn. Now, I honestly will give him credit for some sort of lapsus, as I really can't imagine him not knowing to be holding the nuts there. I am quite convinced he thought the A was on the board and that he checked that behind in the same way apestyles was talking about, which is obv 100% understandable.

Kristy Gazes had 99. Chad had Ace Rag.
    Flop is 666.
Kristy says some devil comment and both players check (for some reason.)
    Turn is another 6.
    Chad bet and Kristy called.
    Turn is x.
Both players check (chad checks because he believes kristy will only be calling with an ace.)
Players flip over their cards, chips ship towards Chad with the nuts and Kristy says, "what are you doing, we both had quads."

    lol

  25. I actually remember the Chad Brown hand quite distinctly and read an interview with him about it. He said he checked the river because he didnt think she would call with anything other than an Ace but mainly because he wanted to see what she bet the turn with when the fourth 6 came up. Basically her betting made no sense to me and he was far more curious to what she had than to bet the river which would have almost no value as only an A would call and it would be a split.
  26. In a later interview he said he checked cause he didn't want to reopen the betting and give her a chance to bluff him off the hand.
  27. multi tabling and didnt read the board closely
