i love when people try to lie about their hole cards and then get confused or upset when you mention what their cards really were.
instant hand history
i hate when people ruin your action by philophosizing in the text box about what you are holding. especially in a multi-way pot, when they're not even in the hand. gfy.
who's had either of these happen to them recently? can be some pretty funny chat results either way. -
one time i lied and said i had pocket 10's after folding to a guys all in, turns out he flips over two tens.... i said i had the other 2 and that was really weird. Then a guy at the table said he folded a 10 so i gave up and so did my table respect. But i do know what you mean, i think its funny when people get caught lieing, i laughed at myself here. Also nonoe should ever talk about a hand if they are not in it, or if its multi handed and there is more cards to come.

just done lie, TT ;-)

I'm that guy - and I didn't have a 10 either -
talking about the hand is simply unethical unless you are in the hand and heads up....
Regardless, this is the same as collusion even if there is no intention of helping others. It should not be done.
I am pretty sure that most sites have a policy in place against this and you could report it. -
i always just figured it was another one of those things you just had to deal with playing online. hmm. maybe i can become chat police! weeeeeeeeeeeee

Oh yes!! I love when this happens too! Funny story....I dont know if I can remember the exact hands but here goes.....I was in the SB in a limped pot and completed with K9o. The flop came like K85. I led out and got raised by an EP limper, I reraised and he called. The turn paired another 8. He checked, and I checked behind. The river was a 9. I was like, "sweet, if he had me outkicked, I have him now". He checked, I made a value bet which he called. I won the pot. I IMMEDIATELY checked the HH to see if I had rivered him or not. Turns out he had K6. So I had him beat anyways. Soooooo, after I had checked he said something like "lucky bastard" or "nice river" or something along those lines. I didnt want him to know that I knew yet, so I just said "what was that?". He repeated his statement, and I said "Oh yeah, funny thing is you had K6 and were beat the whole way, but nice try, though". The table got a kick out of that one. How can you play online poker and not know that someone can see your mucked cards when you go to the showdown?

for the record beauright, i agree with you 100%. there is no place for that. but if someone says they had something AFTER the fact, on occasion, I will interject.
