ongame classic payouts

    FYI anyone who played in this event please make sure they paid you out the correct amount of money. I was shorted $4900 out of the approx $11300 they owed me. The payout was credited Dec 11th to my neteller, however I have been travelling and just noticed the error. They are currently "looking into it". I expect it to be taken care of, however I still advise the other players to make sure their payouts are correct.

    I played on a full contact account, yet the partial payout came from pokerroom, and no money has yet come from full contact (except the initial travel expenses and spending money). I talked to both of their support staff on the phone, and emailed all relative people as well. It is curious to me why the payout came from pokerroom instead of full contact to begin with... but whatever, as long as I'm paid.

    The part that bothers me the most is that it has been 2 weeks and they didn't notice the shorted payment on their own. I would notice that (relative) missing amount in my business on quickbooks in a heartbeat. How do they not? It's not cool for the players to have to police this stuff themselves.

    If you've been travelling you mighta missed the post about pokerroom payouts in a guaranteed tournament. The title was something like "pokerroom.conmen" I believe. Good luck.

    Unfortunately I saw that thread... it's really too bad that they couldn't just admit their mistake and pay the people out in accordance with their posted guaranteed payout. Do they not realize that this industry relys a lot on consumer trust and credibility?

    I'm a member of pokerroom and I'm disgusted... I created a thread in the SL and then called support to complain about their treatment of the tourney winners.. My account was immediately BLOCKED.. I can no longer even log into the forums.. Also when I went to the page for live support to get the phone number to call them.. all I got was an email option.. with an added exception.. If I'm the "press" .. I should use some other email address.. What's going on? ;o(

    You were not shorted money marv. What happened is when we received travel expenses for Spain of $1200, they also gave us partial payment of our winning of $5000 which is the amount your shorted. This was done in case some players needed extra cash for the trip, tho they did not do a good job of telling us this was what it was for.

    Always lots of problems at Poker room. Ever wonder why we want to hang out there? I'm starting to like Ultimate Bet. Maybe my New Years Resolution should be to stop my Poker room addiction! But for now... Merry Christmas guys.

    I have not heard from any reps yet, however if what cmd (cbr) has said is correct then I guess that money they gave me prior to the live tourney (which I assumed was for travel + expenses) was really a partial payout beforehand? Nobody told me about that, guess it's just a bad miscommunication... obv very unusual to be paid b4 the tourney is over... in retrospect the $6200 was a lot for travel and spending money (although for a trip for 2 to Barcelona it wasn't far off), however I believed, and others that I have talked who were at the classic believed, that the money was for just that - travel and expenses. I have gone over my correspondences with PR and Full Contact and can't find where it was ever mentioned that we were getting partial payment upfront... but I do believe it is possible that this is what they intended, even if they did not communicate this to us in a clear, or even unclear manner.

    I guess in the end they paid me $100 extra?

    according to the tourney info page, travel and hotel were free, don't see how that should come out of your winnings.

    Look at CD's original post and you'll see that they did give them $1200 for t&e but also fronted them an extra 5K since everyone at that point was guaranteed to make money anyway and this way if the $1200 didn't cover all their expenses, they would have some extra money to work with. I haven't been to Europe in over 8 years but it seems like $1200 is a little light to cover the T&E for that trip but if that is all they were being offered, it was decent of PR to front them some of their prize money in advance. From the looks of things, Marv has acknowledged that he was paid correctly and I acknowledge that Poker Room and On-Game still suck.
