wsj is a very conservative newspaper.. i wouldnt take a topic like this seriously from them

your statement doesnt make sense. who cares if they are a conservative newspaper. its a fact from a poll, cut and dry, there is nothing else to it.

WSJ editiorial pages are conservative, but this is just a Harris poll.
Anyway, without a clear majority for legalization or a strong lobbying contingent it looks like online gambling/gaming could be serious in jeopardy. With mid-term elections approaching conservatives might pitch this with their family-values agenda.
Curious as to party, PS, FTP, UB and others are gearing up for the fight. -
I f you changed the wording of theses questions you would get different results. This is a biased poll. they ask "since there is no effective way to regulate or control online gambling should it remain illegal" leading any one not involved with the issue to the answer that it should remain illegal. if instead the poll was worded "since a large number of americans are engaged in online gambling should the goverment help set standards for these companies to insure the integrity of the games in a move towards decriminalizing this activity and creating a new tax base" I bet we'd see very different results. There are many other ways to reword this that would get more favorable results for our community.
