  1. What do you all think?

Personally I think it has been made quite obvious that net players are on the same level as these live pros (I'm talking tournament poker btw) but a lot of the live pros (the Hellmuths, Matusows etc) are too ego driven to admit just how talented a lot of the internet pros are (Brian Townsend, lilholdem, Mr.Menlo. Basically the rankings on your right ->>)
  2. doesnt really matter, just get money
  3. Agreed, being a live pro would suck, I love being able to chill at home and get in more hands in a MUCH shorter period of time. Online poker FTW

  4. Hellmuth and Matusow and entertaining assclowns about 15 percent of the time and just annoying assclowns the other 85, I care about what they think of my poker game about as much as I care about what I just left in the toilet.
  5. for someone of his age, Daize has some wise words here.
  6. I think internet pros are gettin respect from "live" pros who fwiw also all play online. Ive heard interviews of Lindgren where he speaks highly of BelowAbove and Gus Hansen talkin about Imper1um. Lilholdem is pretty well recognized as well as Annette. They all know durrrr, Scott Clements, Waco, etc. I dont think you will see the live players you named (Hellmuth and Matusow) giving that kind of respect because they consider themselves the best and would show weakness to give other players respect, eventhough they may deserve it. Theres online players on here whos stats are good, whos games I dont respect, doesnt mean they are not good, I just dont like their play, therefore do not respect their game. Im sure its the same with live pros...

  7. Pretty much when it gets to the Poker Table and you show the Pros you have skills, its doesnt matter if you are an Internet Pro or a Farmer from Iowa, you will get the respect from them you deserve based on your Live Play....

  9. In turks and caicos, Matusow told me, and pretty much everyone else he saw that I'm his favorite internet player.

I've always wondered how people view me at the tables, and I honestly feel most happy when some live player who I think plays well compliments my game. On lots of ocassions when I play against a live pro who I think actually plays quite decently, they have come to talk to me at breaks to ask about hands without any real knowledge of who I am online. The reason I respect the opinion of decent live players over decent internet players opinions is that almost every internet player already knows I don't play that bad :P
  10. IMO there will always be this "divide" between the two where internet players feel live players have it too easy, with everyone live being too weak-passive, and everyone live feels that all internet players are young LAG donks.
  11. i don't really agree with this. for a start it's all live players vs all online players, it's a few outspoken ones from each group getting carried away.

secondly in about 10 years this argument won't even be around, because all the new up and coming players will be coming through the internet, and the two groups will merge. And a good number of the older live pros will get edged out (some of them can barely survive now from the sounds of things) and the lines will all be blurred.

i mean can you see matusow still being a 'live pro' in 10 years?

  12. are u implying matusow is some sort of donkey!?!?????????????/

  13. hellmuth give no one respect live or online "he's the best nlhe tourney player in da world"
