  1. I actually have gotten to the point that I laugh now whenever I see anyone do this, so I had to bring it up to see if anyone else feels the same.

The mini-bet or mini-raise. Blinds at 100/200 they raise to 400, then bet 200 no matter what flops. Or in the extreme case, you raise x amount, say 1600, they call... there's 3200 plus blinds in the pot... roughly 3800 and they bet 200. I can't help but crack up every time I see this, every single time!

And then for the opposite end of the spectrum, just now I had a hand on the $11 Rebuy tour. Blinds 400/800, he miniraises to 1600, I call out of the blind. Flop 5 5 4... he bets 16400 into a 3800 pot. I don't understand what the logic of people making bets like this would be, I had 8's so I folded, but since I called out of the blind... if I had flopped trips there or had 44 he'd have 16400 invested when a 1800 or 2400 bet would've done the same job. The only time he gets called is when he's beat and then he loses his entire stack, I just don't get it, I can't help but peg the player to be a complete fish whenever I see either of theses things. :P
  2. lol I agree Gowon..

by the way, are you male or female? Me and BubbaKGB were talkin about you yesterday, talkin about the 45K the other day... lemme know
  3. I'm male but I guess it gets confusing when I have a female avatar, it's a picture of my wifes' 5-year old niece that lives with us on a full-time basis. It's a trade-off, she lets me play poker as long as I keep that picture, I couldn't argue. :(

  4. lol cool man, you're a great player - will you be playing in the TLB Race ???
  5. I thought you weren't allowed in if you were in top 100 previous month, not that I had an impressive finish, 70something, didn't really race then so it'd be fun to be in on this months' race.

  6. Yeah, that was the rule... damn, sorry Gowon :)
  7. The best advice BigGunX (who's given me a lot of NL Hold 'Em advice) ever gave me was to not make a bet so large that I guarantee that the only hand that's going to call me is one that has me dominated. That advice has served me well.
  8. The best advice BigGunX ever gave me was to lower my prices to increase volume of customers while street whoring down in Baton Rouge.
    God i hate BigGunX.
  9. Last night in the third hour of Dise 50K my entire table was a calling station, but most of them would then call a raise too!

Perfect example is a guy limps in and there is another caller (BB at 200), so the BB raises to about 1400.

The first person in calls this raise. Flop comes Q75 and the BB puts in a 2k raise. He gets called. The turn brings a 4 (or something) and the BB bets his remaining 3K of chips in, and he gets called.

The BB shows KK and the caller in early position shows QJc. He has Queen pairs and loses. He types in LOL.

You are in EP and you originally limp in and then you accept a 1200 raise and you then keep calling a person going all in-WHAT THE HELL YOU LIMPING IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THEN CALLING A 6X RAISE?

AND THEN WHY ARE YOU CALLING STATION FOR EACH SUBSEQUENT BET? Now that's a lol!

Calling station tables are difficult b/c when you raise and 3 to 4 people have already called, you will get callers. So you are left with calling (which I hate), folding, or typically raising a substantial amount or ai. It's like 70% of the table is playing limit on the 1st bet.
  10. Didn't you know QJ soooooooted were the NUTS?!

    Duh

    LMAO
  11. Mine is when the Poker Ghods stick their thumb in your eye.

Example: In MP with Q rag. Can't play that junk and Fold.

    Flop: Q x Q

It's like, " Oh, you're going to play smart, huh? Well, take that!"
  12. lol. F off, MikeyRy.

  13. If you had 8's, I think you did have him beat.
