OK. I am at the taj mahal for the crappy $65 noon tournament on Sunday. We get down to three handed, and we get the final 3 minute break for color up.
Blinds are a sick 15K-30K with a 5K ante. I only have 55K and am in the big blind.
I am the only one that shows up when the bells goes off. The dealer looks confused. I tell her, DEAL!! The floor person walks over and says that she must deal. We quickly get 2 hands in and I pretty much double up.
The other two guys went ape shit. I told them that since I was out chipped, they would probably still win and maybe they could afford to buy a watch. LOL.
No good, I still bust out in third. Just a crazy story. Was that a dick head move on my part? -
Wp sir, i would of done the same thing.. its still sick that u came in 3rd even though u did double up hehe
-
dick head reaction on their part
-
I doubt they'd have folded to your blind had you not showed up. Seems fine.
-
Rules is rules and apply to everyone. WP sir, they are the ones at error. Sorry it didn't help you place higher.
-
They are idiots for not being there. How do you make the final three and not be seated when it's your turn to act?
Also, their reaction is poor. It's not your fault they weren't seated.
Shame on the dealer for actually needing to wait for a floorperson to know they have to deal. -
Hey everyone got the same amount of time for break...the clock runs no matter what. Not a dick move IMO at all They are both responsible for making back to the table in time. If you were the one late to the table I doubt they would have held up the deal for you..and they shouldnt
-
The line about buying a watch was gold, VWP.
-
don't think this matters. in tourney as soon as cards are dealt and last one hits button, all players not in their seat have their cards swept away even before first to act, so would blinds not be forfeited anyway??
-
I wouldn't have done it just because it's the Taj. Odds of getting stabbed went from 18% to 62% after pulling that.
-
I think I would honestley wait thats probaly a mistake on behalf though. Not saying what you did was wrong though.

^^^^^^^ agree with jen here
