Hey all,
I've never ventured into a tribeca room before.
I'm sure there are some peeps here that have played them...
Any oppinion on players, games etc?
I'm looking into all types...
cash(nl & plo),sng's, and mtt's..
thanks in advance for any info...
BTW...did a search and didn't come up w/much -
Check out the rake on Doyles' room before you start. It seems a little bit higher then some other areas.
-
Rake is taken to the cent not in intervals. No one ever seems to have a full buy in. Every table at every limit has at least one 20BB stack and another 30-40BB stack.
-
Doesnt have 100x buyins at nl400.
Tournament structure is rediculously bad. -
software reasonably nice
soft NLHE games
no other action that is particularly healthy
tons of small buy in MTT"s....and occasional 'bounty' tourney for $55 that has decent prize pool, otherwise no decent tournies
their sunday tourney is a re-buy at 345 with fast blinds and seemingly pays only 27 spots regardless of number of entrants. -
I have never had any sucsess there, but yet I still go back every once & awhile. Horrible tournament structure and the top 27 thing regardless of # of entries sucks. Cash games are pretty weak, and the sounds are annoying. I got like $30 there that I will probly hop on a nl cash table and try to do some damage tonight.

Doyle's Room took money out of my account for a "rebuy" in a tournament that they admit was not a rebuy tournament. They never gave it back - yes, even after they admitted it was not a rebuy tournament. They kept saying they had to talk to their software people.
I will never play another hand on their site. If you don't like sites that randomly steal your money/sites that have support that admits they A) took the money for a rebuy in a tournament, and B) the same tournament was not a rebuy tournament... then I'd suggest you never play there either. -
Crapshoot tournaments with no room for play. The 'extended' SNGs are pretty cool though.
-
PLO games are sparse but the O/8 games are pretty good (real bad players).
-
Limit holdem cash games at doyles room were loose and weak and the bonus wasn't hard to earn playing them.
-
I just had a good experience at their low stakes limit hold'em game...
Seems like a lot of Europeans play there and they play kind of solid...more straightforward poker in their NL tournaments...
Don't recall a lot of bad beats on that site...which is something... -
If you want to play multis forget it a waste of time.. Cash games weak but there always seems to be alot of players with nearly minium buy in.. Stt are the best a little faster than other sites but the bad players more and make up for it
-
Thanks for the replies everyone..
I really appreciate it..
BTW....Beware...Drarr knows plo!!!!!!!!!!....lol
