Wow just read this:
The future of table games is still in the hands of the state. They are said to be voting on the issue next week.
I'm crossing my fingers it goes through. I believe it will because it was part of the proposed budget. This would be so sweet. -
i thought this was about Patrik Antonius until about 10 seconds after i read the whole thing.

The state is in financial trouble.
They have raised cigarette taxes by $1.50 so far under Rendell. They have raised the tax on Alcohol by roughly 10% so far under Rendell. They are running out of sins to tax.
Short of making prostitution legal and taxing that activity, table games are the last bastion of tax revenue. Unless a bunch of old Pennsylvanians die and the State can rape them with the estate tax laws.
Do not expect NJ to take this lying down though... Atlantic City is already hurting, PA table games would severely hamper an already declining business.
Which obviously would lead to NJ instituting Sports Books in AC to counter act the table games in PA and "sports betting" in Delaware.
Its a never ending carousel. -
Table games in PA one time!!!
The Sands just opened up in Bethlehem PA, 20 minutes away from me, and if they would offer poker then I won't have to drive for 2 hours to Atlantic City anymore whooohooo!
