HYAHAYCHCHYAHC. im so mad. -
Tomorrow is a big day to see how people react.
-
After a year of breakeven tourny poker at Bugsy's, Pacific was the 1st site where I turned my game around and actually became profitable. To this day almost 50% of my total profit has come from Pacific. Although I never cared for the low starting chip amounts I will miss the ATM atmosphere.
-
yea its funny how things work. pacific had the highest rake, and terrible software BUT it had the worst players
-
i want to know how they will weed them out. will they just search by address? they probably WANT you to cheat and say you live in another country. it cant hurt to change it. if it fails, so be it.
-
And so it begins... Theres been alot of propaganda floating around about how people would still deposit and play but this news has to put a damper on things.
-
PartyGaming said it was "evaluating the situation"
Can American poker players get around this by simply opening a foreign bank account (say, Bank of Scotland?) -
they will prolly track by ISP (like pokerchamps and other sites have done), also im not sure but on most sites you cant just change ur address.
-
Y an offshore corporation would even bother to weed out US based players is beyond me. I am a gambler but wager many will not even flinch over the legislation.
-
download anonymous program to disguise your ip address. firefox uses one now as an extension.
-
yeah, we are all officially fucked right in the Gizmo.....i have been taking the worst beating of my life there----that MSNBC article clears things up in my mind, the shift has been on for some time now it seems....
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MY BEAUTIFUL PACIFICCCCCCCCC, HOW I LOVED THEEEEEE, 10/20 LIMIT HAS NEVER BEEN SO SOFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
-
ski,, lol its not going to be that easy
-
Please, ppl here are in serious denial....they don't give a stinky shit about the U.S. customers!
Sites will find new ways to re-invent themselves elsewhere overseas. -
Can anyone log into Pacific Poker right now? I try and it says unable to connect. Also, I have money on Pacific still, will I be able to get it off?
-
The gaming company's that are public are the ones in a bind as they simply can't "blow off" other nations laws (especially a nation as powerful as the USA). I have said all along that we were going to lose in the House/Senate but we have a good chance in the courts (Both under equal protection - horse/lottery online wagering vs. poker & a weaker case involving the WTO). Should be interesting.
-
no ur money is fine. i dont have a pacific account so i dont know uf ur the only one who cant login
-
try these.

and the most popular ip blocker:
http://www.anonymizer.com/consumer/p...ite/index.html
not sure how well they work playing live games thru them though. i will try it out. i had anonymizer years ago when it was free and it had a lag of about 2 seconds but worked. -
well just trying the options out. how do i know. i wont admit defeat yet lol.
-
even worse news is a london times article that indicates partygaming will follow suit
-
888, which relies on the US for half its profits, was said to be in the process of deciding to make a clean break with the US, paying back gambling deposits paid by customers when they registered on the company's websites.
Any profits made are lost from what I read in this article. They will pay back the DEPOSITS. NASSSSTTTTYYYYY, GG ----- 888poker. -
Got a link?
-
also party poker is also expected to ban US players.
Where did you hear this? Please provide the link or quit spreading speculative rumors. -
here's the article -http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,9070-2384407,00.html. sorry I don't know how to link it.
-
i logged in just fine
-
888 Closing Down USA
"PartyGaming, the worlds biggest internet gambling company, said last night that it was still evaluating the situation, although industry sources believe it will also announce a cessation of its services to American punters." -
for now.
i hope other sites are KIND enough to leak/give some notice in whatever form. they are basically telling you "here is your chance."
i hope net teller is so kind.
