I don't post here often (for good reason), but, I need to know if anyone has had a bad check (bounced) from Full Tilt. A friend of mine cashed out three weeks ago and still no check, and another friend of mine got a check that bounced. Could this be that FT is moving money to a safer place in fear of our gov? Now I know of FT to be in good financial standing in the online poker business, but could this be a sign that the industry is failing. I'm not sure what to make of all of this. I've also been reading other forums that suggest that even the online sportsbooks and other gaming sites are or will experience the same problems. Please only post if you have any first hand knowledge of what is going on, thank you.

Noone here has first-hand knowledge but...
I'll summarize for you:
- FTP (like every other site) is having trouble finding payment processors that will stick with them because of the UIGEA. Many processors don't want to deal with poker sites because it's illegal to accept funds from them. Therefore, the poker site has to disguise who they are to the processor, or deal with a processor that is openly willing to break the law. In either case, when a processor drops them, the checks stop coming and/or bounce.
- Your money is safe. FTP wants to pay you, and will. It's possible that you will face long delay times or FTP's processor will bounce a check on you. FTP is good about compensating you if this happens.
- It is safe to play at FTP.
- If you cash a check from any poker site, DO NOT spend that money until the check clears. You are risking overdraft when the check bounces. -
That's what I am wondering. If stars checks are clearing no problem and getting sent out in a timely fashion, then why doesn't FTP just use the same payment processor Stars uses?
-
FTP is about 12-18 months from capitulating itself.

No one seems willing to address this question?

obv stars has been smart and sneaky. Kinda like a great bluff. I imagine they will have problems eventually

I had a check bounce also and I sent emails on the 9th and haven't gotten a response as of today. I did however send an email asking about depositing just to see if they would respond and they obviously responded in 3 hours. Deposit issues recieve immediate response withdrawal issues take 10+ days.

I paid 5% to do a FTP->stars trade and got a check from stars within a week as usual. sucks to pay $50 on every $1k you withdraw, but better to have 95% of your withdrawal in a week than none of it in a month or worry bout it bouncing. gg ftp till they get this straightened out. (you can find people to trade who won't charge anything on FTP's player transactions forum, but I wanted a quick trade so offered 5%)
I dream of a day.... stars customer service and payment processing with FTP MTT schedule and payout structure. get to it "cereus"
