  1. Not sure if anyone noticed or cares but Galen Hall (Turk_Malloy) and Sam Stein (KingkobeMVP) who got 1st and 4th at the PCA just got 3rd and 2nd in the UB 1k for a combined $60k. They are just adding to a sick sick start to 2011.

  9. Daniel Negreanu saying online cash game players have a bigger advantage in big live tourneys than online tournament players cause online tourney players arent accustomed to having 150 bbs. What a stupid, stupid statement. Did anybody else pick up on that? Does anybody believe that but him? I'd put money on Daize over Durrrr in any NLHoldem live event!

Yeah that makes very little sense to me
  11. maybe he just means they will find it easier to chip up in the earlier stages, being better at post flop play and all tht.

but yeh in the latter stages tourn players would have a much bigger advantage i would imagine

This may have been true many years ago when every tournament started with 1500 chips - but with all the deep stacked stuff available now, online players are more than fine with playing 150bbs deep.

  13. i thought durr was a much better cash game player than tourney player

    +uno
  15. Umm I'm gonna have an unpopular opinion on a tournament forum but most online high-stakes cash game players that play tourneys are better than high-stakes tournament players in deep-stacked live tourney play just my two cents from what I've seen in live tournaments. The more live experience anyone has the better I think they do live.

Yeah, Tom Marchese talks about that in the newest Cardplayer mag. It really only applies to the early levels where they are 100+ bbs deep obv.

    +1

I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one Adam.
  18. yea, i guess in general, yall are probably right, but for daize to look more comfortable he wouldve had to have been lying down, kid played like he owned the place
  19. I said this in another thread. A lot of HS mtt regs just will never flourish live because they make Live poker harder than it really is. They aren't accustomed to playing so deep even in today's age of "deepstack" and "superstack" tournaments. The amount of 100bb spews with in the early-mid stages of a tournament is astounding
