petition: Change starting times for USA COOP on Pokerstars

    I made another thread on this but wanted to start a petition. The USA COOP on stars has a pretty horrible schedule imo. All the tournies start at 7pm central or later. Their Main Event is on a sunday at 7pm central with 30 minute blinds and 20k starting stacks. It is also a 1 day tourney, so if you plan on playing the sunday warmup and go deep in the USA COOP gl with that. Oh and also the series is being held during a US national holliday weekend (Thanksgiving). Who thought of this schedule?

    I propose that the events get pushed back a week and start at around noon. With the structures the way they are (20 minute blinds) youre looking at playing until afternoon the next day.

    Any of the weekday tournies would have to have a small field if started much earlier than that. 7 Central is still only 5pm for the west coasters and if you want any fish in the tournies you should want to wait for them. As far as the weekend/sunday that is just ridiculous.

    Ohh ya, having it over thanksgiving is just not good either.

    cosign - 2 pm est would be perfect imo....not gonna play a tourny starting at 8 est and sit there till 6 am

    I think some of you people have lost your mind. You would rather start a tourney at noon vs. a 7pm(avg) start time during the work week? For tournies that consist of USA players ONLY? Think about what you're petitioning/signing for a second....

    Coming from someone who works a 9-5er, I would not be able to play a single one. And I'm pretty sure you want me in as many as possible..

    this is false

    four tourneys start at 17:00 ET, which is much earlier than 7:00 pm central. it'd be excusable if there were no NLHE events that started that early, but the very first event is at 17:00. so i don't know what you're talking about.

    i think quartersack and gags got it exactly right. good luck with a tourney for americans only where you're excluding a large portion of the possible player pool (especially on the west coast).

    Don't mind the start time as much as i mind that its during thanksgiving. I feel like most people will be spending time with their families that week.
