i see that we have a lot of 5cd players on this site...

I keep the kings and draw 3. The guy drawing the 3 you most likely have beat before the draw, and the guy drawing 1 for a straight or flush has somethign like a 1 in 5-6 chance of hitting either one. I'm not really good with the whole odds part of poker (I probably should learn that part), but I'm sure you could somehow mathimatically justify (assuming you have the BB beat) drawing the 3 and keeping the kings and the SB hitting or not hitting his draw....like over the long run and stuff.
Not exactly sure if that makes any sense.
I miss 5 card draw. I'll probabyl start playing again, so much more fun than HE -
i actually decided to keep the KKA and draw two. i figured i was ahead of each of them at that point because they wouldve threebet preflop

Depends on your read on the small blind. Is he weak? Will he flat call with 2 pair pre? Will he never fold to a c-bet if you don't improve (assuming you keep the KK)? I'd probably never c-bet this unless you improve to at least KKK though.
And what the hell are you doing opening for 2.5x (only) on the button with KKxxx? 3x always.
Edit: And don't ever take 2. It's incredibly transparent to a good player that you have a pair and are keeping an ace, and bad players never believe you that you have trips, although their reasoning is different. They'll just call you anyway with their 2 pair. -
why 3x always? its pot limit... im trying to keep the pot reasonable while still maintaining control of it.

If you don't think your KKxxx is best, then limp from the button. If you're opening for value, which you definitely should be with KKxxx and 2 left to act (and position), you want to get as much $$$ in there when you think you have the best hand.
Always make the other guys make the decision whether they want to call your bets when they're unsure (or in the dark as to what you have predraw) of what you have. You don't make it as hard on them if you keep the pot small. And people LOVE to call with junk in these games. -
i would rarely limp with KK. In fact, I would rarely limp anythign in 5 card draw, unless I have a straight of flush draw AND there s a limper or 2 ahead of me....especially if its an unopened pot. I agree with the thing aboutnever keeping an ace. Thats one of the most used notes that I have on people is whether or not they keep an ace. I really don't see a point in keeping an ace with your pair. You're pretty much trying to draw 2 pair (which kind of negates your kings...might as well be 2's). Because the chances of another player having 2 pair with aces are extremely small. Especially with the SB (i think) drawing only 1, 2 pair is not going to be any better than his straight or flush if he makes it.
Also, I forgot to think aboutthe fact that he could already have 2 pair, which chances are he doesn't have a pair of aces or kings (for obvious reasons), so your kings are good if you do in fact draw like a pair of 2's or 3's.
