party 10 max $200 NL (sorry no converter emailed HHs but cant find)
Villian #1 $ 185 (weak tight player waiting for Aces and sets,
girl avatar on PP if it matters, sn; leejastar)
Villian #2 $ 220 pretty tight flatcalled in position my river bet earlier HU
w/ nut str8 w/ only backdoor flush beating a str8 (AddFunds00)
BB caller/downer $190 has called me down w/ 22 on K J 3 3 9 board
for potsized bets on ea. street.
Rebuy Ron $618 ; sucked out on KK w/ AQ to get 2x first time (flop Q turn A, sue me)
TBS "SuperStation in BB so I limp T
8
after villian #2 limps UTG+1
SB (villian #1) completes, BB checks. Flop:
8
8
9
$8 pot
SB bets $6, BB folds, UTG calls, $22 pot $6 to you;
Your play maestro?
Assume I call.
OK
So the turn makes the board;
8
8
9
T
and the SB now pots it for $24, UTG+1 calls, pot $74 YOU:? Remember: these are nits people -
will add turn in a few would like to hear any responses, gets pretty juicy I swear
-
Who is the SB?
-
Im sorry villian #1 is SB
-
Its party so.....I would make a raise to $120-150ish...no i would raise it to $25 and see what happens
-
I don't mind a smooth-call on the turn at all, especially if you think that Villian #1 is the kind of guy who might fire out there on the flop with 76, because you know he'll bet again on the river. A play I like better is a fairly small pot-builder raise to $60-80 or so, small enough where you know both players will stay with you.

OK graps, I like it that line. I actually got a bad vibe on the hand w/ all the action coming from the tightest 2 players on the table, and actually again flatcalled (at which point I said to myself, I am not playing this hand right) . Anyways, here's how the river play went:
river: Q
final board 8
8
9
T
Q
sb bets $56, UTG+1 moves all in for $170ish, I assume on party 1-2 this is a standard call,
but UTG+1 is a nit's nit: he flatcalled me w/ T9 on 8 7 x x J board with only a backdoor flush avail over the nut str8. For him to push here on a paired board screamed full house but with so many draws hitting I gave him the flush. My problem is that if I'm putting him on a FH I can only beat 89 so my dilemma was if he would push w/ a flush.
Now I'm not using it as an excuse but Party has THE WORST 'time' option of any major site in cash games as in none available, I ended up making a crying call to the UTG's all in. He showed 99, SB said she had K8 (nice bet on river lady) Standard? Do I fold if villian has me covered in same scenario? -
That's a tough beat...I don't know of any way I'm getting away from that hand once the ten hits the turn.
The thought that one of the two of them held 99 crossed my mind, but for some reason, I figured it had to be the SB, not UTG+1. Don't know why, exactly, other than maybe thinking that most players don't have the discipline to just call that twice without firing out a raise, usually too big of one to keep people around. -
thanks again for the input Graps, I'm sure it looks like a thinly veiled bad beat, but I was wondering how others might play it, as I was sure I misplayed either by not raising turn, or by calling river
-
As soon as I saw you posted the HH i was positive someone had 99, but I would have raised the flop or the turn to see where I was at. But once that ten hits, your not folding
-
yuk I'm going broke here and I don't mind the way you played it. I was waiting for someone to turn over the J8 of hearts but 99 sucks too. tough one.
