    Funny,,after watching that video it made me wonder why no one was concerned when I was daytrading fulltime over the past ten years day after day in my own home, where I could've lost hundreds of thousands of dollars,,,then abused my dog, beat my wife, smashed things because I was stressed over losing money. But let me stay home and play some online poker and they make it out to be satan worship.

    Like grandma always told me,,"It's all about the benjamins junior."

    As long as the suits in DC aren't getting their cut from online gambling, this is the BS we taxpayers have to put up with.

    In all honesty we should be thankful morons like this are going on the air defending the other side. Ppl will see right thru this shit. On our side, we have a calm, rational individual talking about govt overstepping their boundaries. On their side, they have some idiot correlating internet gamblig with child abuse. Who do you think the average American is going to side with? The more idiots like this go on the air the better our chances are of winning this fight. I lol'd the whole 2nd half of the interview by the way.

    wow, I actually used that exact wording the letter I sent today, amazing how "rational" human beings can be so very irrational at times. I wont comment further, I think he has dug his own hole quite spectacularly. and good for that reporter calling that guy out on his clear BS.

    I'd say overall poker looked pretty good in this discussion. I have respect for the host for calling that guy on absolute BS. Randomly making up facts weakens the case vs helping it and it was obvious he had nothing to backup what he was saying. I doubt he swayed anyones opinion, if they were against poker they still are, if not he looked like a d-bag.

    this is just a small issue in the bigger scheme of things. the "moral majority" makes the same arguments for much bigger issues like gay marriage. imo, times are changing in america. i wish it were different but this country is run by two parties and these christian nutjobs are doing a disservice to the republican party and that is being acknowledged by those in the party that are true to its roots.

    if it werent for poker, id be dead, i have a felony record and cant get a decent job. I also am a parent and although i dont even almost agree with this f k n moron, i think he meant to say "child neglect" and if you guys think this cant happen , ur wrong. i dont neglect or abuse but, Im surprised our guy didnt say, " and what percentage of online gamblers were abusing children again"? that woulda shut him up. My point is they will have to come up with some percentages of people that are doing these things as a result of playing online. I think eveyone is missing the point. Most and i mean MOST of us are fine playing and living normal lives, but we musn't stoop to their level and be ignorant and say " online poker doesnt affect anyone EVER negatively" . Sure it does, probably plenty of people, just like alcohol, live gambling, etc. Point - cant ban something because a couple of f k n degens cant handle the swings of pokaz. PERIOD

    Why does this ignorant piece of shit think its okay to regulate moral behavior? The whole basis for his argument is that we need behavioral regulations. But FREEDOM means we have the CHANCE to FUCK UP. Without the chance, we aren't free. I already have a mommy and a daddy... never asked for a nanny government.     Well... you might have been subjected to too much propaganda. I have worked around politicians for years, campaigns, etc. The "It's about the children" play is directly out of the liberal democrat playbook. I do not want to turn this into a right vs left, but I can almost guarantee he scripted this out of someone's playbook. He didn't even seem passionate about what he was saying.

    The only reason I bring this up is that I have learned to recognize over the last 20 years who is really behind what based on how the speech is worded. Sounds silly, but stick around long enough and pay attention and you will see what I mean. I am fairly certain that Reed Kathrein is no far right wing republican. If his is, he should leave Berkeley.
