  1. Ok this is a very serious issue, and it can byitself destroy online poker if a group or donks decide or are paid to do this! Today, hehe2 was doing it since hand #1 till the FT of the 50R on stars. I was only at his tables on final 3, 2 tables and final table, but was extremely annoyed, and i must say that it totally destroyed the endgame of the tourney! Pharlap was with him from the beggining ot the tourney and she was furious with him. Here is the reply we got from stars!

    Hello Steve,

I would like to tell u that ALL the players are REALLY annoyed with hehe2. As a result, we are willing to make this a big issue in the broader poker community and any immediate action your site takes can only be beneficial

    Thanx

My apologies - it was another player who doubled through 'hehe2'.

In any case, I have written to him to ask that he show the other players
more consideration in future. Hopefully, he will stop this now he is at
    the final table.

    Hello Argyris,

Thank you for writing about this matter. We value customer feedback
and are always listening and responding to your concerns. In fact, I just
went to the table to witness this...in time to see you double up through
    him!

Technically it is not against the rules to take up to the full 25 seconds
offered (35 seconds in selected No Limit and Pot Limit ring games) in
which to act. However, if someone is regularly using the full amount of
time to act for basic folding decisions, we will send them a non-binding
request asking them to be more considerate, perhaps playing in fewer
games or paying better attention to the game.

Thank you for choosing PokerStars. Please do not hesitate to let us
know any time you need anything.

    Regards,

    Steve C

Is there anything we can do as a community to stop this shit? I guess a massive complaint will be a good start, but then what?

  2. its absolutely ridiculous, but some would argue that he is within his rights as a poker player.

    technically...yes

    but

    its annoying

ive heard of some players who do this as a strategy bc it pisses off the other players and makes them play worse
  3. Yes it might do so , but THIS IS NOT POKER! and if it becomes widespread... welll it destroys poker!

  4. This must have been frustrating to those who couldn't remain calm but this player was working within the rules and that is part of the game. If it continues over any prolonged period of time the various sites will do something to adjust most likely.

This will not ruin online poker though. It will frustrate the crap out of anyone who lets it get the better of them.
  5. I once had this happen to me on party.
Forgot the guys screenname but he was doing exactly as you describe.
Kinda sucks because it is very hard to do anything about it.
Only thing you can do is move all in on him every hand he plays. Even then, if he is deepstacked or the blinds are low, it is not that effective.
I wonder if support has a method to actually watch what the guy is doing and see his hole-cards. It's a big problem on Party if you are stuck with one of these yo-yos at a low numbered table because the lower the number, the longer before the table gets broken up.
Really annoying but I can understand that the poker site cannot really control how people are playing unless there is evidence of collusion
  6. That wasn't right at all. I was with him in rebuy hour, and he timed out everyhand which didnt allow are table to get as many hands in rebuy hour as the rest of the players. Annoying to say the least. lol I actually looked to see if he was in the 200 this afternoon. I would not of played..

  7. yea, ive had a player like that at my table. think of how annoying it would be to be that player hahaha...you know ur gonna fold but you wait another 30 sec. I wouldn't have the patience to do that for an entire tournament.

not against the rules, but completely unethical nonetheless
  8. It was the very first way I found to win, not a joke, my play was terrible at the time, but I stumbled on to it at party poker in the speed tourneys, PP used to break the tables from the highest number down, so if you were seated at a small table number 1,2 5, anything low, if everyone at the table would stall and fold, you'd all make the money, often times some players would protest, and they'd dump off everything just to get out.
I'm sorry I ever used it, but it does give you an advantage, poker sites need to have a decreasing time limit when this stuff happens, desperate people will do some annoying things to win, I know I did, and if I ever stalled at YOUR table, I apologize.
One time I carried this guy for three hours, three hours of me taking the clock to one second, then folding, or pushing, I don't remember who busted first, but I remember getting in to a new 10 buck tourney at party, 1000 people or so, and I'm seated next to the SAME GUY!!!! I could not believe it, poor dude, must have just wanted a refund so bad, but he was nice enough to explain what was happening to the entire table, so they could hate me faster, play at me with garbage, and be put from their misery. On the downside, I was threatened continually, one lady promised me, she'd drive the hour and a half, to kick me in the balls. Sorry again, but the sites need to fix the loop hole or it will get abused.
  9. Some douchebag on UB named "Cigar" loves to do this also, time out every hand the entire tourney
