To all of you tech savvy people, if I buy an apple ipad, will I be able to download pokerstars and play on it?
Thanks,
MG2003 -
No you will not be able to just dl stars and play on that pile. But there are some workarounds where you can rig it to play.

because ipad doesnt have a full working version of osx.....im sure there is a way...but not that i know of yet.
-
more useful: smash that thing with a bat
-
lol, did you really buy an iPad without knowing anything about it? Sounds about right.
-
I'm sure all the poker sites will end up creating ipad clients for their sites
-
The OS hasnt been out that long, so its going to take awhile for the the sites to catch up. Probably be awhile. If they do something for the Ipad, im guessing they will have something for the iphone too, instead of having a work around for it.

free teamviewer app at the appstore
-
Our understanding is that the reason there are no real money poker apps on the iPhone is that Apple doesn't allow them in the app store.
-
It's just iPhone OS, which has been around for quite a while now. I'd say the reason no site has built a native iPhone/iPad client is that gambling apps are almost certainly outside of the Apple App Store guidelines and would be instantly rejected by Apple.

Fasho. So many of my friends preach the awesomeness of Apple. I.E. Their macbooks never have problems yada yada yada. Most of them conveniently forget when they had to personally take their unit into and Apple outlest to get it worked on.
-
Haven't really even looked at the ipad but why would you buy an ipad when you can buy a netbook for about the same price and it will do pretty much everything your computer will do and they're about the same size and weight as the ipad.
-
When I brought my 5k laptop to apple they voided my warranty because it had dents in the metal edges.
-
just wait until I come out with my interactive porn app for the iPad.

You can use the amazing touch technology to make bitches moan by rubbing on their clitoris and nipples, and much, much more
multitouch for 2 chicks, with gestures for up to 6 chicks
I'm just working out the kinks on the touch engine so it can recognize the tongue for all you little freaks out there -
Ya Micon was at my table at the Venetian a couple weeks ago playing pokerstars on his iPhone using TeamViewer.

How is it this article came out a year ago and I've never heard of anyone being able to play Pstars on the iphone? Has anyone been able to play any of the sites from their phone from one of the "rigged" ways. This link says you can download a $25 app and connect to pstars through remote assistance. Seems like I would've heard about this long ago if it actually worked. Before I do this, has anyone had success with this or any other way I've never heard about?

The client has to actually be running on a PC somewhere. It will most definitely work but it probably won't be a very great experience. These apps are designed to provide remote desktop for basically any app -- it's like remote desktop sharing. Depending on how you're reaching your host PC, it's likely to be pretty slow.

I decided to take a shot at it and did it step by step, with no success. The instructions say a pic of your desktop will come up but the session keeps timing out. However, if what you are saying is true and will work, I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Sometimes the 5 min breaks are not enough time to take the dog out, go to store, etc, and this will come in handy. But then again, multi-tabling will be damn near impossible so pretty sure I just wasted $25 on an app I will hardly use.

TeamViewer is free and works on the iPhone

Multi-tabling definitely is near impossible at this stage, but being able to play one or two tables on your iPhone is now a reality using TeamViewer (not sure about those others that charge).
