I'm at my friend's house and we are both connected to his wireless internet. Are we allowed to play in the same tournament on FullTilt?

It all boils down to the IP address. If it's dynamic, you're fine. But if you both have the same IP, you are screwed. To verify this, use www.whatismyipaddress.com on both machines and see if they are the same.
