Re-raising when you should fold and raising when you should call, aka hyper aggressive - seems to work. I suppose if my record was bad, I would get called more often, but I only play like this afer I've had a few to many.
I've been multi tabling all day and had several drinks with people who have come and gone. I don't think that playing this type of hyper aggressive poker is a long term winning stategy though.
Have you found similar results when you've had a few? -
I've just logged on after more than several drinks so i'll let you know in a couple of hours...

I run good drunk

Drinking is good when playing live if you can dupe your opponents into thinking that your big bets are drunk bluffs. In other words, good timing + drunkeness = gold.
But you have to control yourself and not start playing recklessly and that can be hard.
I say have a few and if the session starts well, keep going. If the session starts awful, they'll think you're the drunk fish and it will be time to take the party somewhere else. -
I dont like drinking live, if you go deep you'll start sobreing up and then you'll start to feel groggy and wish you hadn't drank so much earlier on, then the headaches will kick and you'll just want to be at home nursing your premature hangover and winning will not be the only thing on your mind.

Having some beers while playing doesn't seem to affect my play much. If anything, it might just make me more relaxed and play better poker. There's a point where it starts affecting my play, though, but I generally don't sit at the comp playing poker all alone in my apartment getting hammered either, so it's not really a problem, and if I did, I wouldn't consider my playing poker to be my biggest problem.
