Playing while multitasking

    I often play games while doing other things and not pay attention to exactly how my players act when I'm not in a hand?

    Basically, when the window tells me that I have to act, I quickly look at my position, # of players in pot, what actions were taken, what my hands are and go from there.

    Is this a bad thing to do? I actually do pretty well in the game when I'm doing that. >.>

    To each their own styles and ways of playing, but I find that if I don't focus on the table, I lose sight of the players styles at the table and have a harder time concentrating (which is why I don't play multitables).

    I usually play infinitely better if I play 1 tourney/SNG, do nothing else, and focus on everyone's betting patterns and styles. I feel i pick up more information when I focus on the table full-time and in turn, play more solid poker that way.

    But then again, if you're doing well with your style...why change it? You're looking at all the key things to look at (position, # players, action, and ur hand).

    i'm usually multi-porning with like 4 diff movies up at once. hence why i usually just run 2-3 tables.

    wp ape, and true to boot! if you are mulittabling, there really is no way you can do other tasks but thats kinda obvious. if im early in a tourney il often go into robot mode and take care of some other things or watch sports and tv, but soon enough it usually helps me to really focus. and in general i do better to focus the whole time.

    but if i were you id definately listen to apestyles before you listen to me

    aye multi tasking porn is a must. U got to have 2-4 vids downloading at all times. So you constantly have new material to jerk to. I can only watch 1 vid twice before I start getting mad at the woman. " WOULD YOU STOP BOUNCING ON TOP AND GO DOGGY ALREADY!!! DAMN!!!!" " STOP LOOKING AT ME!!!!!"

    Yeah, I kinda forgot to mention. I do this when I'm playing 3-4 tables at once and doing something completely different (non-poker related).

    So ape, poker is basically a distraction to your multiporning. I cant imagine if you focussed on poker. There wouldn't be any money left for the rest of us.
