I've recently noticed a spot that seems to happen a lot lately. I raise in position, flop anything from pair to set and bet the pot.
There's a flush draw on board and the villain shoves. Should I be checking the flop with the draw out there or should i just cross my fingers and hope my hand holds up?
Here is an example. Sometimes i win these but wanting to know if it's correct to call the shove. What is the +EV play here?
Jennifear please help also.

You should NEVER fold in these spots!

Woah, you don't need to bet anything like that much on the flop. I'd only be betting 700-800. While it's obvious villain is a bad player, a good player is only likely to give you action if he has 22 or 77. Where as if you had bet less you could still get calls from inferior hands.

Good raise pre.
Bet less on the flop. Try 3/5-2/3 pot here. Maybe 800 at most.
As played, when he shoves you are 65% against a flush draw and an even bigger favorite against his more likely holdings like KJ. Never fold here. -
You're betting the flop here both for value & to protect a made hand. You want villain to make a mistake not the other way around (ie. letting villain draw to the flush for free would be a huge mistake). You only check the flop if villain has been very aggressive & you're pretty much assured he's betting out on the flop when checked to (fwiw, in a super micro I would NEVER check this flop).

You bet too much on the flop, apart from that you did good.
