I think P5's needs this. If you agree, cosign. I know i'm tired of sifting through lots of bad advice / posts from players who have no business posting in the threads.
A high stakes only forum with restricted access to who can post, similar to the "Red Pro only" forum on pokerroad. -
god i want a cash game forum so much
-
COSSSIIIIIIIGGGGGGNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
some sort of private forum where you can vote in people that can write in threads...and if you're plb score is like idk 95percentile or higher you can post...something like that
Gags30 is an instructor at PocketFives Training . To get more of his advice and to watch his training videos, click here.

As long as the micro-limit players can still access the forum and "read" the threads, I don't see a problem with that. You don't get any good advice/feedback anymore on PD, and especially on BB or HA. Lots of flamers thou....
-
Absolutely no problem with micro stakes players having access to the forum to read and see all the threads, I just want them to not have the option to post.
-
LOL...would be too afraid to post in a forum like that to be all honest. I'm not big into critiquing someone that can use my BR as an ante in their games.
But seeing the high stakes players posting and critiquing would be a nice learning tool. I'm for it...and as Sandler puts it...as long as it can be coded.... -
cosign
-
what about a simpler work around if that coding won't work?
high stakes forum that everyone can see and access and post in, but if anyone who doesn't have a 97 or whatever percent plb score posts then they get insta 1 week ban? a lot of the higher stakes players are mods anyway, so will be self policing. just nice clear message at the start of the forum and bang, you're away.
and it will keep the idiots out.
compromise ftw? -
this is like the tenth time this idea has been brought up. i think thewacokid was the first to post a ten page plus cosigning thread about it. admin's said that something was "in the works" but this was over 6 months ago. i don't see thewacokid posting much anymore as well as many top mtt pros. however i'm sure they'd return with a hsmtt section. weak p5's...weak
-
I like Mathclub's idea about the 1 week ban. But yeah P5's probably won't do anything about it which is why the content of PD that is good/valuable will continue to be harder and harder to find.
-
Bigred, i just want to apologize for my posts last night as i was drunk and have no doubt you are a very good player, you're results are better than mine and i have no right advising you how to play a hand. Note to self: don't read p5s after drinking!
Gl at the tables! -
I think people just need to not post their advice in threads where the hand or hands in question are at a buyin that said person has never played. However Im a fan of asking serious questions in those threads, because every once in awhile u get quality advice on your question rarly but it does happen either way COSIGN.

ive beat mathclub hu to win a tourney the one time ive ever played him.....he has a higher plb than me, thus he is a much better player and his opinion should be valued much higher than mine....

i think only those with 99th percentile or better should be able to access this forum imo -
u realize sctrojans has no percentile.....not letting him post in any forum would be beyond stupid...when he gives strat advice ppl should listen, even though he wouldnt make any hypothetical 'cut'....
or we could exempt him....i mean hes a baller right?
in theory this is a great idea....so is communism, in theory -
I really don't see how....I'm a web developer, and this seems like a basic task from a coding standpoint...unless the forums use some completely abstract template that doesn't allow you to add customized code...
-
You see this would never work b/c cash game players or "real poker players" would not be able to post then b/c they dont have some gay 95 percentile rank LOLOLOL
fkn donkalicious lol imo sfriggd -
my words excactly!
