  1. question one

What is the usuall ups and downs of winning NL cash players.

I ask because i am always going up and down, up and down. My lowest dip is usually 3 buy ins, but is this normal. I play 6 max, and i am for the most part the losest player there, but i am only lose in position.

    question 2

I play GREAT, ok, and plain horrid poker. and i don't play bad because of a bad beat or anything, but i am a laggy as hell, and sometimes it takes me a little while to figure out i need to tighten up. I am a winning player at nickle-dime NL, but it seems like i would crush if i didn't Lagtard it up about 25% of the time i play. I don't know if is normal for a style like mine, or what.

The way i have been combating this is to stop and take a break when i see i am doing bad (this post is being made in one of those breaks) and if i am doing well i dig in the heels and play for as long as i am playing good.

IS THIS NORMAL, of not what should i do to stop. any advice, or similar cases would be great.
  2. Step back before every hand. A pause of 3 seconds before every hand, looking away from the screen, has helped me in the past when I get too active. When I was getting crazy I would be just making moves all over the place, one hand after another, and breaking that pattern helped.

Of course that only starts when I have lost 2-3 buy ins and I come to my senses. So I am really just in the same boat as you, but it did help stop me tilting away 5-6 buy-ins.
