I am writing this reply to validate the fact that cheating (seeing others cards) is truly possible, as you will see from the story I will tell. I feel I must first give a background so people understand that there is no reason for me to conjure up such a story.
My online name is krex on PSTARS and I have played on the site for years. I have played online poker since the days of pokerpages' test software where you had to sit and wait until registration started and click as fast as you could so you could get a seat. (and the tournaments had no prize pool except some 1 in million chance to win a seat to the WSOP). Ah yes, and this was all on dial up, so you can imagine the frustration. I have been a fairly successful player, and please know that by no means am I on here to say I've been cheated. I'm sure I have over the years at some point, but nothing extraordinary, as the originator has written.
Moving on to the story. I personally feel that Potripper is personally in cahoots with someone inside at AP, who is giving him the info, although, there is a possibility of him being able to see the cards.
A while back I was playing on bodog, before and after the "fantastic" upgrade they did. (sarcasm if you didn't know). While playing in a cash game, as the cards came up one hand, the bb hand was face up to me. No, there wasn't a lag, and it wasn't a post hand, or anything else like that. As I foled, he called and the flop came A74, there were 3 other players in the hand. He checked, a guy bet and this guy called with Ks4h. At this point, I am writing in the chat, and I write to the player, "XXX, I can see your cards, you have Ks4h". While this is happening the turn comes, another bet by someone, and then he folds. He replies, "good read". I replied, "I told you the suits dumbass, I'm not Nostradamus". Immediately following that I wrote bodog with the hand history, the hand number and everything, asking them how that could happen. They gave no reply, never answered. I never returned to bodog.

crazy post krex.
I have also emailed bodog way before newbodog and bodoglife about how their RNG works and never got a reply.
I havent played there since.
Come to think of it, Fulltilt support is actually pretty good compared to other sites. I know stars is great but I enjoy playing on fulltilt more. -
This was posted over at FCP.
"Alright, some pretty crazy shit.
I was just talking to a friend of mine who plays heavily at Absolute Poker (he would rather be left nameless) about the recent POTRIPPER scandal. He does not post/read any internet forums, and was unaware of the situation. After linking him to a couple of the summaries, he had some very interesting things to add.
When I mentioned that people had linked Scott Tom, the former CEO, to the case, he immediately recognized the name, and said he knew the guy. He had sat at a table roughly 5-6 months ago, where a guy claimed to be Scott Tom, and wanted him to test the new AP 8.0 software. This guy seemed to know a lot about him (email, location, first name, deposit history), and even put $300 in my friends account to prove he was from AP (by credit adjustment, not deposit/transfer). He also emailed him the new software from this email address: stom@fiducix.com.
Just to make sure my friend contacted AP support to see if this guy was legit. The email re received back might break this case wide open:
Thank you for contacting us.
We contacted our promotions department and they informed us that steamroller belongs to the Absolute Poker Staff. For this reason, what he offered you is in legit.
Good luck at our tables.
Thanks for playing at Absolute Poker! If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We are here for you!
Sincerely,
Aaron

This email directly links the Steamroller account directly to AP and Scott Tom. It leaves little question that the all the accounts that had been suspected to cheat in the cash games are connected. But does not answer how AP could have investigated these accounts and found nothing suspicious. "

well its simple really. They "found nothing suspicious" ;)

Amazing. Just amazing. And they still claim nothing is amiss.

WTF is in legit? -
AP talk for not legit.
-
wow, AP seems to be digging themselves deeper and deeper every day. how can they possibly deny the accusations that these accounts had access to hole cards now?
great work online poker forums! -
how does this have any credibility? Whats the proof here? Post the email screenshot w/headers and all info and maybe...sigh
keep in mind the AP poker info being leaked on here and 2p2 is from insiders at the company and is being posted by respected posters... -
So absolute was openly admitting that staff was playing on accounts? How the heck was this not brought up before?
-
I'm sure the guys at 2+2 will do what they can to see if this is credible or not. It was already posted in the thread over there so posted it here for those that aren't keeping up with it on 2+2.
-
Heh, I just read it as indeed.
-
Hey,
Fwiw, I can vouch for the guy who wrote the post on FCP. I probably have no credibility here anyways, but I'm a mod over there, and I talk with cwik on AIM all the time. I can't vouch for his friend though.
For whatever this is all worth, lol, I suppose.

ty for posting this, Dyzalot
-
wow simply incredible seldom has a group of criminals been caught so red handed in their misdeeds
-
the guy who won the 100k absolute dream package is from Montana and a frat brother of Scott Tom's...
pretty obv that this guy decided to use account 363 to cheat on absolute and got his old college buddies to help him... -
Refund the players who got cheated 1 time please!
-
sounds like ur getting paid congrats...
-
The FCP thread now has the email with headers.
-
Wow, this just keeps getting better..
-
I know AP is tyring to solve the problem because they are forced to because everyone know they have cheated. But honestly even if they do give back people's money, they still won't be forgiven and I don't think they will ever build a repuation. It's impossible to just let this matter go away, I think and I hope most people will never go back to this site again. They deserve to go out of business for good.
-
That's pretty awufl KGB. The email I got from AP scared the hell out of me. How likely is it that this is happening on other sites? I hope people like this get prosecuted to the full extent of the law, as this is completely illegal.
