If you limp, they raise pot every time. if they are sb, they raise pot every time. if they raise and you reraise, they call every time.
im just starting to play a lot of $25/$50 hu plo on a small site and im doing ok so far. however, the people I seem to have by far the most trouble with are the ones who are ultra-aggressive preflop. Once you start calling every hand, it becomes really difficult to know where you're at in a hand, and im finding myself thrown off balance by the strategy as a whole.
Can anyone offer some advice/suggestions as to how to play against this strategy? -
If they always raise the pot, what could be better than a completely predictable opponent? How can you get thrown off balance when they do the same thing every time?
Fold, or re-raise with the nuts. Once they adjust, start re-raising with air and steal. -
HU if they are raising out of position on every hand then you should be calling some of you're hands that play well and reraising a lot. Position is huge. The preflop play in PLO isnt that valuable HU, the question is how does he follow the preflop aggression. Sounds like he's easily trapped and reraised off hands.

I wrote an aticle on "How to Handle Extremely Aggressive Opponents Heads Up" in my blog. It's applied to holdem, but it's still the same concepts as PLO, you should check it out.

Call the top 80% of hands , then check raise. You'll get enough of the aggra degens stack before you get busted with this stratgy, Then finish him off.

This ultra aggressive strategy is the bomb, at least at the low stakes. I dunno a way against it except running good.
True story, for those that care.
I came home from work pissed off and got high, put 100$ on ftp and sat at two 10c 25c tables of omaha. 10 hours later, and about half an ounce i had over 500$ on each table, 20 buyins on each table. I was playing 6 max and i raised every single hand even if it limped to my BB. I was getting berated left right and centre. 2 hours later i had 0$ in my account. I dont remember what hands i sucked at, but basically i stopped running good and lost a giant preflop all in for 300$ with AAKQ to KK26. Needless to stay i self excluded myself from ftp that night (morning at that point) and the next day opened a new account.
The strategy works pretty well as you have a range of any 4 cards. Also you get an image of being a maniac even tho i was playing flops as normal people just believed that if i raise alot preflop im a maniac on teh flop and got paid a ton.

If I ever lost 40 buyins at .10/.25 in two hours I would quit poker forever.
As for the OPs question, omaha is all about pot control. Since your playing almost every hand HU keep the pots small when your out of position (limp/call preflop, check fold/raise on the flop) and build the pots when your on the button with a strong hand. Since your opponent is never folding pre, when you raise with AAxx and the flop comes 4,6,8 your basically going to have to go with your read and have to lay it down most of the time. -
I played against a player like this the other day, and at first I thought he was horrible. Guess again. He is most likely reacting to what you are doing. He probably also knows the math of Omaha better than you (the most important skill set to have imo). The player I played against would quickly shut down after the flop if he had nothing at all, but would bluff in spots where it was clearly a good move. He also seemed to always know where he was at. At first glance it seems like there is nothing you can do about his constant aggression but it is really not the case. You can only combat aggression with more aggression, if you start call folding every hand you have lost the battle. He will grind you down till you have nothing. A good book is Farha on Omaha, read it.

I play the same style CawfeKid is refering to. Against weak/tight opponents, I just grind them down until I can eventually take a few flips with them to finish them off. Against the super aggressive players, I just sit back and wait for the opportunity to throw a huge check raise in their face. This usally gets the momentum to shift to my side, and they become afraid to keep "potting" it against you in fear of another check raise and start playing tigher. Thats when you kick up your aggession to finish them off. They think your only playing the nuts after the 1st check raise and by the time they've figured out you've adjusted, its too late for them to swtich back to counter your aggessiveness.
